1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Linux French Press Cozy on: December 06, 2010 04:47:11 AM
I made this for my brother. He lives in a house that is pretty drafty in the winter and he is a techie. I found a few cozy patterns on Ravelry and a mitten pattern with the Linux guy and combined them to make this. It is a little long For the press but I think he will still like it.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Tae Kwon Do Afghan on: September 09, 2008 06:13:58 AM
So one of my instructors was leaving to go back to Korea and I will miss him so I made him this.

Its not very big(thats me and I'm only 4'9") because I had 3 weeks to get it done. He had a great reaction to it.  Said he was going to use it on the plane.
On of my other instructors asked if I would make her one when I have time.
I used that knitpro website to graph it out. I love that site.
Thanks for looking.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Infinity dress question on: August 10, 2008 03:38:15 PM
I really want to have this dress for my wedding dress. http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=245247.0
But I don't know what kind of fabric would be appropriate. She said that hers was a polyester spandex blend but I don't know where to look for that. I don't know if anything else will drape as well as that.
We are going to a warm climate to get married so it has to be cool to wear.
I would really appreciate any help i can get. We are getting married in January and I don't like the styles that they have in the bridal stores. Not to mention I am very short(4'9") so I'm hard to fit anyway. And I think this dress will be perfect.
Thank you
Cathy
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Halo Afghan on: March 29, 2008 05:26:05 PM
So my boyfriend has been watching me make baby afghans all winter and he keeps complaining that I should make him one. But, of course, he has all these opinions of how it should be. Queen size, halo, no holes. So, I've been laughing at him and telling him that it would be long time before I could even think about doing anything like that because so many people are having babies and thats just more important. Well, I did started his in January and his birthday is on Monday. And I finished it today. So i thought I would see what you all think about it. I used that knitpro website for the graph and my brother turned this picture into grayscale on him computer.

And this is how it turned out.

I was going to take some photos outside today. But, I didn't get my running around done until 4. I may add a better one later.
Comments welcome. Grin
Thanks
Cathy
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First knitted lace blanket.Hemlock Ring Blanket. Finished!! on: February 17, 2008 12:55:01 PM
Hi! I just started knitting at the end of December and this is my first big project. This is my first knitted blanket, first lace project, and the first time I have worked from the center out with DPNs.
I printed the directions out on Feb. 13th, started knitting on the 14th and I'm up to row 79 already. So, I thought I would enter it into the challange so it would give me incentive to finish it before next weekend.  So, I'm going to try to figure out how to put a link on here.

Oh yeah, I'm using Wool Ease in Wheat.

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Converting a picture to crochet on: January 05, 2008 06:33:48 PM
Hi! This is, I think, my second post ever. I've been doing a lot of lurking and learning. This forum is so amazing.
My problem is that my boyfriend wants me to make him an afghan. That isn't a big deal in itself because I've been crocheting for a while. But he wants a Master Chief from Halo afghan.  Any ideas or suggestions on how I can do that? Can I do that in crochet or would it be easier changing colors if I knitted it? I'm more comfertable with crochet but I can knit too.
