21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Bearded Lady on: February 12, 2008 02:54:03 PM
Today I finished my bearded lady for my 2D design class.  It was done on a 14" x 17" piece of illustration board with acrylic.  Critique is greatly appreciated  Grin

Here are some design projects I just got back today in my 2D design class.  The first one is cut out paper and the second is acrylic paint.  Enjoy!

23  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A Painting I Finished Today on: January 29, 2008 01:12:04 PM
Here is a painting I finished today in my 2D design class.  The assignment was to use a color triad from the color wheel and create a design showing the gradations.  I chose the secondary triad.  Any who here is the final product...

24  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang I Love You! A painting inspired by the movie on: January 25, 2008 09:57:56 PM
So recently I was on iTunes and I saw that Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang was a movie you could buy so I immediately bought it.  Later on I watched it and fell in love, all over again, with the great costumes so I began taking pictures of my screen while I watched the move.  Then the next day I started this painting.  I hope you all like.  I am in LOVE with it.  I just can't get enough.

Original Picture:

Mind you I didn't want to copy it completely because I don't believe that by doing that you are making true art, unless you take the picture yourself.

25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / What could I do? on: January 20, 2008 09:43:44 PM
I have this black velvet blazer that I picked up from a thrift store and I thought I could wear it; however, when I got it home I put it on and it ripped and made a big hole.  Plus I noticed it was a mans blazer.  Anyways I want to make something out of it but I don't know what to make.  Does anyone have an idea?  It is pretty much your typical blazer.

I appreciate suggestions  Smiley
26  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / You should always run from someone with a rolling pin *first time stenciling* on: January 20, 2008 09:20:10 PM
This was my first time stenciling.  I wanted to give it a try since I got lazy and didn't want to clean my silk screen, my usual method of reproducing an image.  Well let me know what you think.

It's on a tote bag by the way

28  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Ring-A-Ding-Ding with a little something Foxy on: January 18, 2008 11:55:52 AM
These are two paintings I did yesterday.

The first one I did just because I wanted to paint a ring with shinny jewels.

The second one I loved the pattern, which I saw on a dress in a magazine, and chose to paint a fox over it to make it a little woodsy.

ENJOY!
29  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Click the Heels of Your Ruby Red Slippers and a Magical Bag will Appear on: January 12, 2008 03:58:54 PM
I was bored one day and found some fabric left over from my Who tote (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=185185.0) so I made this quick tote bag.  I hand painted the shoes on the bag with silk screening ink to make sure it would stay if I washed it.  I hope all you all like my bag.  I know I do  Grin

30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Who else is obsessed with John Krasinski? on: December 24, 2007 10:25:30 PM
One day in the mail I got a Gap thing that showed all of their newest clothes for winter.  As I am going through it I notice that celebrities are modeling the clothes.  Then I come across John Krasinski and gasp with excitement.  I absolutely love Jim Halpert from The Office so I decided to use the picture to make myself a new pimped out Altoids tin.  I hope you all like!
