1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / been on pintrest, Ravelry and googled, need some mug cozies on: December 26, 2012 11:29:46 AM
anyone got some cute things for the holidays?  I am making for next season's auctions etc.,
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / anyone seen this potholder pattern around? on: December 24, 2012 07:26:21 PM
I believe this is a vintage pattern, I picked them up in a resale shop, want to make more, can't figger the pattern, but hoping someone out there might have it in their stash.
I have all the patterns available, jingle bell potholder, potholder/dishcloth pattern, and the new year bell potholder.  None of these is really close as you can see.
I am driving myself nuts trying to find the pattern, or even looking, counting, and working, just isn't coming together like it should.
I should mention they are thread, and looks like the ring has both sides of the potholder on it, no joins anywhere.
Also, the ends of the rows, is a ch 2, and they are not used as a turning chain, and crocheted into.
Need more photos?  let me know?
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Does anyone recall something like this? on: July 14, 2012 12:41:50 PM
Been a while since these mags were published, but they had some mighty fine patterns, way back when, am seeking this particular one, if someone out there could help, sure would be appreciative. Smiley

My email is 01wisconsinone@gmail.com

I have been looking for an old pattern for years,it was from a book I believe 1978-1983 not sure. The book it's self is a craft book not solely for crochet,it is a Fall edition, the pattern was of "Crocheted Chicken Breadbasket" it is of a chicken that fits over a basket or bowl,it's wings lift up and there is a hole crocheted in to you can get to the goodies inside. The tail feathers are done in acolorful ripple crochet,I have see many patterns over the years but none are of the one I had made years ago. I believe the book was a Womans Circle,or Womans HouseHold, all I can remember it was a Fall book, there was a sewn turkey on the opposite page of the crochetd Chicken bread basket. The pictures were in color.I made many of these breadbaskets to give holiday homemade cookies in and the people loved them, but I had lent the book out and never got it back, can some one out there help me find this very old pattern. It was done in 4ply yarn.I don't know for sure the book I do remember the pictures were in color and the pages were shiny not the dull pages .Sure would love to find this pattern before I die,It's on my bucket list ,LOL.Thanks
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Easter bunny towel? on: March 06, 2007 04:35:52 AM
I ran across a link some place, had a wonderful picture of the bunny towel, so cute, and now, I can't find it.  Wondering if someone here has knowledge of where I might find it, or has the instructions herself?
Those decorations are wonderful for those of us with limited room, but we do want to spruce up for the holidays.  I have a darling reindeer towel that I am making also.  Would love to find the bunny.
5  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / posting instructions for snowflakes from 6 pak rings? on: December 24, 2004 05:43:48 AM
Earlier in the season, I asked for, and received one pattern for snowflakes from 6 pak rings.  Since then, have taken that pattern, and come up with a couple more, so pretty, want to share them with others on the web.  Can someone tell me where I can post and show pictures of finished item?
I will provide pictures , along with text as to what the item should look like at various stages, and of course, the gorgeous end result!
Perhaps others won't care about this, but as I live where it is cold, and snows a great deal, we enjoy their beauty, in the house, on the bare trees blowing in the wind, and even as gifts to others.
Kids can make them also, not only for the cold season, sprayed bright colors, hanging from trees/shrubs in the warmer weather is also very pretty!  Flowers?
Could someone help me, by pointing me in the right direction as to where I can post them on the web?  Thanks to anyone who can.
