11  Only 11 Recent Unread Posts? in Craftster Itself by foreversandals on: October 31, 2008 05:02:14 AM
For some reason when I click 'recent unread posts', I only see 11 on the list and there is only 1 page of unread posts. Now I know I spend a lot of time here, but I don't think I'm that good.

Did something change? Or is something wrong?

12  WIP - Lace Table Runner in Crochet: Completed Projects by foreversandals on: October 01, 2008 08:35:36 PM
So for my mom's Christmas present, I'm working on a lace table runner. I started at the end of August and am starting to taper off with my motivation. So I figure, "What a better place to get re-motivated?!"  Grin

Here are the details and photos:

Hook: 1.95mm
Thread: Size 10
Pattern: "Table Runner" from the Ultimate Book of Pineapples [with my adjustments because either the pattern is wrong or I missed something... but it still works]

[An overall view of what I have done]

13  Re: Fill-A-Box Canadian Style Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by foreversandals on: August 27, 2008 06:14:57 AM
I'm so glad you liked everything!
I loved those patterns too. If you make your little girls dresses from them, let me know. I really want to see them!

Here's what I received from maasive.
She totally spoiled me! I love that we had so much in common. She was totally able to pick up stuff/make stuff that suits me perfectly!

All of it together:

These awesome fabrics. I love the polk-a-dots! And the cream fabric has these pretty flowers on it, and they're already cut into squares. Perhaps for my first quilt?
And there is a ball of yarn that has the greatest colors ever. [There's another ball, for some reason it didn't make it in the pic]

A bunch of scrapbooking things. A Stampin' Up idea book. A border. Gem-like stickers and are so cute! And a stamp with all these baby phrases [all of my friends and SILs are having babies!]. And some awesome papers/photo mats.

More scrapbooking paper!! And shape stickers.

An Interweave Crochet and a Stitch n' Bitch [inspiration to finally pick up those knitting needles].

This awesome hat that fits perfectly!

And finally...
The cutest little cupcake pincushion ever!

Thank you so much maasive! Its been amazing swapping with you!

And thank you so much slingmomma for organizing!

15  Fancy Dinner Party in Party Planning by foreversandals on: August 18, 2008 04:37:27 PM
So my friends love to cook. And they love the opportunity to cook fancy meals. And I love opportunities to host. So we're having our second annual fancy dinner party this coming Sunday [the 24th]. As I plan [and scour this board for ideas], I thought I'd post our progression.

- Guest list [done - 11 people]
- Menu [in progress - French theme]
- Seating arrangements [done]
- Place cards
- Menu cards

I'm waiting on the final menu.
But I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas for me. Just simple ideas. Decorations and such. Anything.

Here are some pics of last year's dinner party:

16  Limbo in Craftster Itself by foreversandals on: July 01, 2008 05:57:45 AM
The Limbo Board is supposed to be a place where you can only see your post... right?

Well I've noticed that every once in awhile when I'm in the "Recent Unread Posts"... someone's post shows up there. There was one today.

Here's a screen shot of it...

I'm not sure why it happens. But I thought you guys should know.

19  Macro Photo Challenge: Burrs [not brambles] in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by foreversandals on: April 21, 2008 05:43:54 AM
Or at least I'm pretty sure they're brambles.

Well, brambles they are not. I've discovered they are burrs.

Taken in St. Sauveur, Quebec. In September.

20  Reversible Lunch Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by foreversandals on: March 12, 2008 07:27:17 AM
I made my swap partner a reversible lunch bag.
I traced a plastic bag onto fabric and figured out the best way to sew it together to make it reversible [because, really, the same fabric gets boring everyday. Plus she's an elementary teacher.]

This side has little kitties on it. So cute.

Then the more 'grown-up' side.
