I agree - she makes fun patterns - I have several as well!  Be sure to follow her blog as she posts a $5 sale on Fridays!  Today the Ditty Bag pattern is on sale, and she posted the templates and instructions for a heart shaped version!  The templates are free so if you already have the pattern you can do the heart version, or buy the pattern for $5 and then use the free heart templates :-)  She's going to post a larger heart version next week :-)

If you use 2 hangers (facing in opposite directions) the wind won't be able to blow the hanger off the clothesline

It's cute!  I love the remnant bins @ Joanns (or any fabric store, actually) - they're always the first place I head when I shop - sometimes you can score fantastic bargains!

I order craft supplies from Asian Etsy and Ebay sellers all the time, with no problems.  The items take about 5 weeks to arrive, on average.  They certainly have a far better selection than (much overpriced) Fabricland (who, by the way, is having their 50% off for members sale right now) :-)

Love 'em all - they look beautifully made, and those fabrics are FUN!!!

A well deserved honour - congratulations!  I keep peeking at this post hoping to see news of a pattern on Etsy - my fingers are crossed, because this project really is seriously ADORABLE, lol!

That's a beautiful bag - your brother's GF will love it!  You did a lovely job picking out the fabrics (I have SUCH a hard time with that part!), quilting them and sewing the bag   BTW - 2 pockets instead of 4 = a design decision - remember that!  

I'm sure your grandma was thrilled to help you with your project - you probably made her day!

Oh I'm sorry - I didn't see your question - I just noticed it now!  You can stitch right over the plastic teeth with your sewing machine - just go slowly!

Oh! I do have a bunch of plastic zippers that are 7 to 9 inch. I've never shortened a zipper. By sew over, do you mean I can do that with my machine stitch or do I have to hand sew it?

They're adorable!  My favourite is the ruby red (corduroy?) one, middle row right - I like her sassy attitude

If you're using regular plastic zippers you can use longer zippers and just sew across the plastic to shorten them - I find it easier to work with the bigger ones and size them down, rather than to fiddle with the little ones with these fat old fingers, lol.

It's very cute - I like the trims you added !
