1  Trivial FOs: IK headband, Knucks, and a hat (with pics) in Knitting: Completed Projects by binkin on: December 08, 2006 02:46:14 PM
OK, so I've got all these big projects started and all I've managed to finish lately are small projects.  First we have the hat I made for my fiance; it's just a k2p2 rib made out of Lopi, so it knit up in a few hours.  And yes, I know the beard is out of control...

My Knucks, from Knitty, so I can be like all the cool kids!  I am getting really tired of people asking me why I didn't put "HATE" on the other one, though... next pair I'm writing "F*CK YEAH" on to avoid this situation.  I think the yarn is Patons or something - stash from years ago and I lost the ball band.  It's definitely got wool in it, though.

And finally, the arrowhead lace headband from a free pattern on Interweave Knits' site.  I made at least a few errors and I didn't bother blocking it - I figured it'll block itself from being on my head long enough.  Made with a tiny bit of Lion Wool-Ease, 'cause it was around and cheap.

I'd have a lot more done on this sweater if I'd stop looking at other patterns online and going "Oh, I have to make THAT!"  I now have more WIPs than I'd really like to talk about.

At row 43 on the back, one of my needles broke, so now I'm knitting with one 5mm and one 5.5mm needle.  So far it doesn't seem to be a disaster; I've been trying to compensate with tension.

Also, I really need a ballwinder.  I tried to rig one up with my (weaving loom) bobbin winder, a toilet paper tube, a dpn, and a rubber band, and it seemed to work until I started knitting from the ball.  At this point it is such a tangled mess I had to cut the yarn, and I'll have to wind another ball before I start working again.  Sigh.

Edited to add a photo!
