1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Happy Fall felt door hanging on: September 30, 2013 05:08:05 PM
So I had been feeling a bit ill but wanted to craft something.

So I sat down, cut out some pieces and a few hours later,  voila!

2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Dwarven Key on: March 04, 2011 09:27:48 AM
So I was asked to throw together a "Dwarven Key" for a LARP prop. So with a bit of inspiration, I threw together this.

I didn't want it to look like a regular old skeleton key, but to look stylized and kinda like a weapon as well.

So this is what I ended up with!!!

Hope you like!
3  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Shrine-Along - 2011 (Ongoing) on: February 23, 2011 08:14:22 AM
Hello all!

I thought it be time to start a new shrine-along!

For ideas of previous shrine-alongs, see the past topics:

They can be any medium, any subject.

(here was my first, childish attempt at one for Jim Henson a few years back)

I am looking forward to great discussions, tips and communication!!

4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Imbolc - Brighid ATC on: January 26, 2011 11:20:15 AM
Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, but I only had my cell phone with me.

I am still really new to ATC's, but my artisan's guild is having an ATC swap for each High day.

Here is the one I made for my partner for Imbolc. (Her patroness is Brighid)

The matching ATC envelope:

I hope to take clearer pictures tonight!

5  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Red Baby Dragon!! (Image Obese) on: December 28, 2010 10:21:53 AM
So I hadn't been sculpting in a while. But I had a friend who collected dragons, so I decided to make this dude for her. Based off of a picture I found after a google search. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mnkyse/3529766334/

I kinda hated seeing him go, but she seemed to like him, so it was totally worth it!!

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / The Mitzi Scarf (My first Pattern) on: December 11, 2010 07:13:43 AM

I really wanted to make a quick, easy project for last-minute holiday gifts and threw this together!

I'd love people to try it and let me know what they think!!! I hope you like it!

I posted my pattern to ravelry http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mitzi-scarf

and from my blog. http://mythicalmagpie.blogspot.com/2010/12/mitzi-scarf.html

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Men's 3X Shirt to Dress (My 1st Recon) on: August 27, 2010 02:50:49 PM

So I bought a huge men's shirt to recon into a new top.

It was on 75% discount, so I got it for $0.75.

I lopped off the sleeved and the collar, cutting it a bit too low for my taste. But here is what I ended up with.

(And the whole outfit I am wearing out is here)

Not too bad for seventy five cents. Hope people like it!!

8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Finished Whimsical Grandmother OOAK (Pic heavy) on: May 26, 2010 07:46:18 PM
I had posted before about my first OOAK doll that I finished. She was a year in the making and was truly a labor of love.

I have finished her hair, clothing and accessories, all made by hand by me!

She's whimsical, but I love her!!!

Hope you all like her too!

9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My first attempt at filet crochet!!!!! (pic heavy) on: May 26, 2010 02:36:14 PM
My little sister is getting maried this weekend. For her gift, I got her the caterer for her reception. But I feel like everyone deserves an actual gift for their wedding day.

So, a friend of mine makes these lovely crochet name doilies and encouraged me to give it a try. This is my sister's soon-to-be married name.

Here is the finished piece

Here is the process....

I never thought I could do something like this, but I am SOOOOOO pleased!!!

Hope you like it!

Here is a picture of my sister and new brother-in-law opening it!

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Completed: Mary Jane Slippers on: February 26, 2010 10:28:20 AM
I saw this pattern and HAD to give it a try! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=127333.0

I have whipped up several pair of these little beauties using the Thick & Quick washable wool yarn, instead of working with two strands, but it seems to work out pretty well!!!

Thanks for this great pattern!!

My first pair:

Most recent, with pink jewel buttons for extra "bling"

Thanks for looking!
