So this isn't really anything that I made, but I had one of those "Ah ha" moments today. Use a Subway bag to store other grocery bags!! Cut one corner off to use as the dispenser. The long skinny shape of the bag makes for more compact storage, kind of similar to those fabric bag holders I've seen made before. I love seeing those simple cheap ideas that make life a little easier
I always have trouble deciding what board to post my randomness on... so I decided on "Home Sweet Home" since its technically a decoration.
I made this for my niece's 16th birthday present, and it turned out to be one of my favorite creations!!
I pieced together some random fabric scraps... had some of our favorite pictures printed in wallet size... sewed them on... then added embellishments such as buttons, bows, ribbon, silk flowers, shapes cut from fabric, made some random stitches with embroidery floss, and Viola!! a photo collage wall hanging
I received my package from Shannin today!! She made me some pretty sweet amigurumi!! I love the red pacman ghost: Blinky!! and a cute little yellow flower!! Thank you Shannin!!
I've been making alot of zip pouches and wristlets lately. Some of them have button flowers sewn onto them which were inspired by this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304231.0 All are made with 7 inch zippers except Pouch #6 which is a 9 inch.
i read your blog about the first bag... i know exactly what you mean about the instructions for this bag!! i am teaching my friend how to sew, and she wanted me to teach her to read patterns. She chose this pattern as her first... and needless to say she doesnt have a very good first impression of patterns. Here I am trying to explain it to her and the instructions are very unclear and they even had mistakes in them. We were bothing swearing at that pattern by the end of it...lol. But it does make a very cute bag and i love the fabric you used. and i agree that the handles need more support... she reinforced hers too.
Okay so not the most brilliant idea ever but i got new panties today and i turned the tags and stickers into magnets!! I thought they turned out pretty cute so i thought I'd share them.
ya know those business magnets you have stuck all over the fridge? they can be great for turning anything into a magnet as long as its not too heavy... just add glue...
I'm throwing my friend's bachelorette party. These are the invites i made from cardstock, scrapbooking paper, and ribbon. Just thought I'd share. These are before I wrote the rest of the information on them:
I have never liked giving money as a gift, but some people are just so difficult to shop for that you have no choice. So i made my friend a money bouquet.
made with $20... one dollar bills...buttons...beads...wire... and chinese paper stars.
Thanks for looking!

A friend of mine went to the Talladega 500 nascar race a few weeks ago, and with us both being fans of the movie Talladega Nights, I just had to make him a tuxedo t-shirt to wear to the race.
I just freehanded it with white fabric paint onto a black t-shirt. I wish I had close up pictures of the shirt before I gave it to him, but he emailed me the ones he had.
He said he got alot of response from people at the race. This is him in front of the Talladega Superspeedway:
This is what he wanted the back to say: "If ya aint first yer last" it looks kind of sloppy it was last minute
