Nicely done!

I've seen apples with the tops hollowed out and used as candle holders (for tapers or votives), it looks really cute.  You could also do clusters of flowers with apples mixed in.  Check thrift shops for red-and-white quilts/blankets to use as tablecloths, like someone else mentioned, the mis-matched look is cute, especially for an outdoor wedding.

Good luck with the planning, and congrats on graduating!  Smiley

How cute!  I (heart) monkeys!   Cheesy

My favorite wedding gift (which my husband later broke!  Cry) was a glass pitcher that my brother and his wife etched with our names and wedding date.  I would have loved more handmade gifts!

The colors that come to mind when I think "country" are rusty red, cornflower blue, sage and cream... I don't know if those are "her" colors, but I hope that helps.

Happy crafting... I'm sure the couple will love anything you make them!

Same happened at my wedding - we had to do some shuffling of cupcakes and interesting blocking in our photos......I knew I should have hired a security guard for the cake......

Wish I'd thought of that!  (the cupcake shuffling/blocking, not the security guard.  Wink) Although the latter might not have been such a bad idea, either.  Smiley

I'd forgotten about the "window seat"!  Cute!  It looks like it's turning into a couple shower, though, so I guess they'll have to fight over the window seat!  Wink

Let's see, in '94 I was... oh my... 19???  I'M OLD!!!  Tongue I guess what really stands out in my mind is the whole grunge/"lumberjack vixen" look that Heather mentioned, plus the New Romantic look (velvet baby doll dresses, chokers, knickers, newsboy caps, lace blouses/ jackets... eesh).  Any of that stuff would make great outfits for the party.

For music, there's the aforementioned Hootie/Cheryl Crow/Nirvana (I also had a poser friend who suddenly became a huge Nirvana fan after Cobain offed himself  Roll Eyes), and let's see, Gin Blossoms, Collective Soul, Aerosmith's Get a Grip album... who am I forgetting??

The Nancy Kerrigan thing might make a funny game... maybe make some kind of harmless "club" (like an empty wrapping paper roll) and do some kind of relay race or keep-away game involving clubbing each other's knees?  (Sorry, I'm not good at coming up with games!)

Sounds like a fun theme.  Hope it all comes together.  Have fun!

Awesome!  I love the mixed-media look of this, and all the little details like the butterflies.  Very sweet way to capture that moment forever.  Good job!

Very nice!  I love classic designs for baby quilts.

Beautiful quilt and lovely sentiment.  I'm sure it will mean a lot to your friend.
