That's beautiful! I really like the clarity of the image. For some reason nowadays it's quite rare to see such nice, sharp details in a watercolour painting, at least among non-professionals.

Okay, I managed to take some pics.

Tethys-earrings on a card, the second pair I've made. Much better than the original pair...

Tethys-necklace, or a part of it, on a card. Also the second I've made of these.

And then, for the controversial necklace which I just finished:

Nest Materials -necklace, made out of suede, satin ribbon, freshwater pearls, fluorite, tourmalines, smoky quartz, brass and sterling silver.

... and a closeup.

I'm not sure if I should add something to Nest Materials or take something away or what... uuh. I think I'll try again tomorrow, I'm afraid I've stared at the piece for so long I've lost all ability to judge it. And yeah, it's supposed to be asymmetrical and, uh, for lack of a better word, "strange" Smiley I think symmetrical necklaces are most often completely dull. Not my kind of thing at all!
26  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Cold Feet and 20 minutes of time.... Tutorial on: November 29, 2006 10:12:55 AM
Hi,
I'll join the choir: thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial! The last time I've crocheted anything was in grade school, and it was a kettle holder. (Since then I've totally sworn myself off of crocheting.) Aaaand... despite my complete n00bness I managed to crochet something not at all unlike a pair of cute slippers! (OK, even though the other one is larger than the other. Can't win always.)

I used a smaller hook and thinner wool than you suggested (I got inspired into trying my hands at this at 2 AM so I really couldn't march into a store and buy appropriate-sized equipment), so it took me something like 2,5 hours to get the pair finished :F

It's more like 2 hours with beads, then 5 mins of studying, then 5 mins of getting bored, then 45 mins of beads, then 10 mins of reading, then 15 mins of complete frustration... Tongue (Plus the necessary time for cig breaks and craftster browsing! And don't forget random internet shopping. Curse you, Visa! Curse you, Paypal!)

Aaaand, my day/night rhythm is a total mess. I went to sleep around 7 AM and woke up at 4 PM... once again. And the exam's 8 AM on friday. Guess who's gonna be dead tired, on top of it all? :F

Haha, I feel like whining, sorry Cheesy

Back to the topic at hand: I just completed one strange brown necklace with suede and freshwater pearls and stuff, let's see if I can get a decent photo out of it. (Actually I'm not sure if it's completed or not so I think I'll need some opinions on that.)

I love your bracelet. I wish I had patience to do stuff like that, but for some odd reason, knitting and me don't get along Cheesy

Wow, these are really pretty - I also checked some of your other posts and you definately have a sense of style when it comes to designing jewelry Smiley

By the way, do you mind if I ask where you got that silver spacer that shows on the last pic? It's so beautiful :O

Your choice of colours is very nice Smiley And I absolutely dig the wood background you've photographed them on!
