1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Tasteful way to cut a t-shirt neck? Please help. on: April 03, 2007 10:22:20 AM
I have an oversized t-shirt that I love the image of. I already know how to size the shirt to me for a more comfortable fit, but the neck of the shirt is downright ugly. It's made for a man, too tight and high and just gross. Can anyone tell me a way to cut out the neck (you know, the band at the top of the actual fabric, I know there is a proper name but I just woke up, forgive me), but instead of leaving it open with the ratty fabric, sew a new neckline to it?

I checked the tutorials and did a search but seemed to come up nil. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Flattering dresses? on: December 10, 2006 11:28:58 PM
Forgive me if this has already been asked, I'm new and didn't see anything so far about this.

I'm sort of bust-y, if you will, and lately have been dying to making some pretty dresses so I can feel like a dang lady! I always wear jeans, cardigans, lots of layers and cute outfits, but I want to feel pretty. Does anyone have recommendations for patterns or styles they think are flattering on girls who have a larger bust? (We're talking 36C here.) I'm not very big, pretty average I think between an 8 - 12, but my boobs make me feel skanky if I wear something too low cut that doesn't fit my personality.

Is this question too hard? Am I even allowed to ask this? I sure hope so. Thank you if anyone has ideas to share!
