2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Elf knits on: November 27, 2004 04:47:46 PM
Hey guys!! I just finished watching the movie ELF (Will is so funny!).  At the very end when Zooey Deschanel's character is singing, she is wearing a goregous vintage looking knitted hat.  Any one know of a pattern to make one like it? thankies.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitted cabbie hat? on: July 03, 2004 02:21:53 PM
Does anyone know where I can find a free pattern for a hat like this:

I would really like to knit one but I'm not smart enough to figure out how to make a hat like this...and I don't feel like spending $24. :| Thanks for all your help!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Lily McNeal Striped Hoodie on: June 23, 2004 05:18:19 PM
Thanks for the helpful suggestions. I'm on the hunt!  Grin

I have to wait awhileto buy the yarn until I have a chance to visit my LYS. Unfortunately, it isn't local at all...I live in a very rural town and the nearest yarn store is about an hour and a half away. It is very small too with little selection. Oh well.  Undecided

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Need help with "Binario" yarn! on: June 18, 2004 01:38:03 PM

Mom gave me some binario yarn (which, after some research, I guess is also called a ladder ribbon or something like that) and I have no idea how to knit with this stuff!! The yarn gets all twisted and crazy so after about the fifth try, I figured all you lovely craftsters could give me some advice.

EDIT: Binario yarn looks like this...

Hey guys!

I absolutely fell in love with a Lily McNeal Striped Hoodie but I'm too poor to afford one. Thankfully, I stumbled upon this website and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to knit one.

Pictures can be found here:

I would need to knit size large...anyway, I hope some of you could help me. Thanks!  Grin
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Pop tabs bracelets/belts! on: June 09, 2004 07:34:26 PM
I make bracelets, belts, and oddly enough a few headbands with the pop tabs. I just use ribbon or string of all different colors. Everyone at school has been wearing them (the belts are popular) and I only ask anyone who wants one to give me pop tabs to make them. It is a fast project and really easy. I love it.
