What is it? I'm rather daft with these matters

I was wondering if even when I click on forever, It always logs me out? It'll stay on for a months time when I click it. But if I click forever I always come back the next day to find it logged out.

I'm in pathfinders which is okay I suppose.. but, At camp we have to wear the dorkest hats. Is there a quick way to jazz it up to my amusement? (If I can find a picture of one I'll post to give you a basic idea)
