1  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / I finally made some shorts. on: May 12, 2007 05:21:34 AM
A big deal for me as I made them using a sewing machine (which I have been procrastinating over pretty much since my youngest was born and he's 16months now).  I'm much more confident sewing by hand, but with four children I just don't have the time to do that sort of thing anymore.

It's not my favourite of the fabric I have, but they look rather nice.  Going to make some up in something a bit more special next Smiley

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / A-line skirts on: February 02, 2007 02:14:58 AM
Hi,

I'm looking for recommendations on A-line skirt patterns (or rather A-Line that flounce out - IYKWIM - 50s style also appreciated although I don't get to gigs much atm as my youngest isn't too keen on being left with anyone).  I'm looking for something with a bit of a waist band (to hold in a bit) and then a flare out to just below the knee.

I'm a UK18 - but I'm rather dazed by all the patterns available and would prefer a shop recommendation and atleast an idea of what patterns people have tried and liked.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks  Smiley
