1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: 12 Days of Christmas 2008 Gallery on: December 28, 2008 09:51:41 AM
I just uploaded days 10-2, waiting on day one because I want to model it!  It's a super awesome patchwork dress that took hellobint forever, but I LOVE IT!!!   Grin  Thanks so much for a great swap!

oh i'm so happy it fits!!!  it didn't actually take as long as i thought it might, i cut a solid card template and just cut round that like 60 times!!  i have to confess i seriously loved it and am going to make myself a copy - i have to see a picture of you in it though - i didn't take a picture before it left sadly!

Thank you to Kish also - i've had a fab swap, and ended up with loads of things i will wear / use etc through next year!

As i'm now away for nearly a month, i won't be around to see all the other bits added, but i'll definitely check in when i come back....  (slightly early but...) Happy New Year all!

ooo cool thanks everyone!  yes little it was that tree one - i have a friend who would love it but she has a bony upper chest (it sounds really strange but she cannot get a necklace that lies flat and doesn't turn over) - one like that might actually work!!

ok, so i've found the easy way to properly do justice is open up a typing window and write all my comments on the gallery, then post.  so apologies for the realllllllllyyy long message below but wanted to do it all justice!!

Old prin loving the scissors charms on hollistercobabe's day 10 earrings where did you find them?

Little / Celtic  -  looking at the beautiful pendants reminds me I must learn resin! Is it normal paper set in the resin?  Plus i'm intrigued to see the tree necklace on...  and Celtic, that wild thing is so cool!

cute poly yoda superhooker!
2711 the secret garden box is such a good idea and really original.

Lukenlarry / Sheridan LA loving the button wallet!  Also liking the reversible placemats and matching napkins I need to make some of these and the satin / gold looks lovely.

Jenicat / Mimiw those onesies are so cute!  I needed an idea for the final onesie for my new nephew, and now I have one thank you!!  Loving the silved beaded star ornament also beautiful work.  The scrap fabric wreath is such a good idea also.

Yoyowa / Therisa having made from patterns yoyowa, I can tell you the worst part (and by far the most boring) is cutting the pattern so a pre cut pattern is such a great gift!

Miss disney / fiberartsy reading about the shirt just made me scream out 2319!!  I think my other half has already gone for the razor!

Marcusandila / dreambelle loving the scrabble hairpin, i'm gonna have to make myself one!  The gingerbread men clips are also really cute!!

katyymai your dog looks SO happy with the wrapped tugsy (that's what they're called in our house).  I might have to make one for christmas!!

dropdeadsuzie / kittenwrangler I never thought of using my shrinkie to make pinheads.  The embroidered eye is cool too- freaky!  Perfect on a hair pin for halloween...  and the batmobile is AMAZING such a good idea.  My SO would just love this.

Ptarmic wumpus / psyche liking the idea of the doilies dyed and then sewed onto something.  We just got given loads by a relative, and I needed to think of a cool way to use them dying and then sewing onto a backdrop is a good idea....

Flashley ashley / iheartzb i'm intrigued by the glass etching cream, I didn't actually know you could use a cream, now I have to go and investigate....

and finally - i looked up a whoopie pie so i know what it is!!

i know - i'm loving so much and there are still loads of people to post their 12 and 11 yet!!!

Some worthy mentions to date ...

Hollistercobabe is that a candy wreath?  That is such a cool idea - my problem would be that i would eat it all and then be sick - but maybe thats the point of christmas  Tongue

Littlebiscuit liking the seasonal painted votives, they'll be lovely to lend some festive cheer (i'm typing this as 3pm and its dark already - votives sound good...)

Pinkleo I really need to make myself some candy cane earrings.  Those look like the silver is almost wrapped round though, rather than through the clay??

Flashley Ashley - loving the dandelion notecards, dandelions are one of my favourite things, i've made dandelion t-shirts for people this christmas (but not for anyone in this swap so I think its safe to write this!)

Lunanne - Liking the window sucker faux stained glass ornaments.  Its given me a great idea for a present i still need to make - now just to find myself a window sucker....

its awful isnt it - I also look after security, and one of the pieces of advice is not to leave wrapped up presents under your tree - basically it becomes a one stop shop for burglars.  They may not want whats in the present, but they will sell it on if worthwhile...

i've now sent all days - hoping the 2nd package gets there OK!!!

good luck littlebiskit, hope all goes well with the job (and to my partner too!)

can't help on the sweater i'm afraid - i once shrunk the most beautiful jumper from benetton - it came out doll size (very cute but not very practical) - and there was NOTHING i could do to save it!
