1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Twirled Paper Earrings and Pins (Image Heavy) on: September 17, 2010 05:25:56 AM
So back for Christmas of like 2005 I got this book on how to make twirled paper creations. I never even cracked the seal on it till last night. I was going through some stuff I had in storage and happened to come across it. I figured I have nothing better to so lets give it a try. I made my lovely husband a birthday card (pics to come later) and then just kinda went a lil crazy here are just a couple of what I made.
Here we go

Cute lil butterfly earrings

Dragonfly pin (ignore the yellow glue was the only hot glue I had)

Flower pin (was playing around with paper shreds to see if they would work YAY for being green)

The book that I got the ideas form
As usual thanks for looking

3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / halloween wedding on: January 27, 2009 07:44:49 PM
So I've finally found "the one" and we are set to tie the knot Halloween 2010. I pretty much have what I want to do for decorations down but I'm not sure what to do about dresses. I really want like a black and red & black and pink/ purple dress, but I've searched all over the web and have no clue where to find one. As I'm not the best seamstress I don't think that I could sew one. Anyone have any helpful ideas. Any input would be appreciated.

And for your viewing pleasure here is a random pic of my man and I.
4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Scrunchies/ wrist bands made of little loopy things for weaving (Image giant ) on: July 30, 2008 07:53:41 PM
I was bored today and I found a tute to make scrunchies out of the little loopy things that you weave with and thought "I have a bunch of those in my desk at work" (I had to work a 12 hour shift a while back so I bought one of those kiddy looms) so I began to work and decided to post them here, even though there not crochet. Without further ado here come the pics

The whole group, ignore the cigarettes trying to sneak in the pic

Showing one on my wrist

And apparently they work well as cat collars too. My cat Neko modeling one

And just for fun Neko trying to take off with one
I almost forgot here's the tute

Lately one of my cats has been catching and killing mice. Guess what Im more afraid of then live mice, dead ones. Its not like I think that its gonna come back to life. (Zombie mice of doom lol) I just dont like them never have and probably never will. With out further ado I give you me.

Please feel free to comment. thanks for looking Kimmy

6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Etsy Question on: May 23, 2008 08:38:45 PM
So my roommate makes beautiful jewelry, so I suggested that she start an Etsy store. Our main question is how much we should price them at. Any other advice about Etsy would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks

P.S. below are some pics of one of her creations.

and some of me wearing it.

Thanks in advance Kimmy and Kristi

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Paper origami star thingy on: May 21, 2008 09:59:41 AM
So first for a little back story then on to the pictures. The other day a friend of mine was looking up some domo stuff and somewhere it said that if you dont have a phone charm youre no one.  She made an origami star thing and turned it into a charm. I thought to myself I bet I could do that.  Spring forward to yesterday sitting at my desk bored I got to thinking about the charm she made, about then I thought what does about every desk have. Sticky notes came the reply so I sat to work and a while later this is what I came up with.
To show size

And of course an action shot hanging from the projector screen in my sister's classroom

Now I want to see if I can make some out of fabric if I can then maybe I can make jewelry.
*grabs some fabric and gets to work.
Thanks for looking, Kimmy
