11  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Green flower bag... on: March 21, 2007 11:59:03 AM
I made this bag last week. And I made my first zippered inside pocket too! It turned out great. I used SewPixie's tutorial: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=11808.0Smiley

It's a deep forest green, the picture washed it out.  Sad
12  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Reconstructed items swap? on: February 14, 2007 03:17:51 PM
I had this idea the other day, why not a swap with only things that have been reconstructed? There are boards for reconstructed clothes, wallets, bags and more, I think there's a lot of interest in that.

Anyway, that's my idea, I thought I'd share.  Cheesy
13  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / The expenses of swapping... on: February 10, 2007 08:30:03 PM
Okay, swapping sounds like so much fun! I see all the swaps going on and the galleries, it's just so great.  Smiley I really wish I could participate in. I have lots of time, but money, not so much.

So that brings me to my question. How much does the swapping experience cost? Let's say you have to send one big, one medium and two small items. How much are you going to spend on materials and the stuff you need to make the crafts? What about sending them in the mail?

I know swaps can be very different from one to another and everyone is different too, but I'd like to get a general idea. So thank you all for your help!  Cheesy

14  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Love is blind on: February 10, 2007 06:29:11 PM
My second ATC ever. It was a lot of fun to make. I wasn't sure if I should post it since the picture quality is terrible, but I think you get the idea.  Smiley

It says 'love is blind' and there's a silver line around the hearts, the letters and the people.

Edit: I changed the image for a better one. Yay for my dad having a scanner!  Smiley
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Doggies diaper bag, 4 images... on: January 24, 2007 12:27:35 PM
Here's the bag I made for my cousin. She's due for the beginning of March. They have two dogs so I stenciled them on. I didn't use a pattern and it was my first time doing a diaper bag. I think it turned out great. I hope her and her boyfriend will like it. Smiley

16  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Beans mosaic... on: January 19, 2007 10:36:22 AM
This is a mosaic I made for my mom's birthday. I used dried peas, different kind of beans, lentils and rice, some black pepper corns and even bird seeds. I used wood glue to glue it all down and Mod Podge to seal it. It took a while but it was a lot of fun to make.  Smiley

Thank you for looking.
17  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Package tape wallet... on: January 19, 2007 10:24:38 AM
Here is a wallet I made using the tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=9299.0.

I used the news paper page that announced Christina Aguilera show. I think it turned out great. And I've been using it for a few months now and it's still as good as new.  Smiley
18  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Three bags... many images. on: January 19, 2007 10:17:10 AM
These are the bags I made lately. The first one is a 'jordy bag', using the tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=32204.0.

The next two were made using the 'hobo bag' tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125025.0.

Thank you for looking!  Smiley
19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Old vest and shirt turned into a bag. on: January 04, 2007 06:45:57 PM
Hi! This is my first 'new topic', it's exciting! I made this bag using an knit vest and a stripped shirt that were given to me. I had a bit of trouble with the handles, they were too thick for my sewing machine, but I think it turned out fine.  Smiley The closure is just an elastic loop with a button. The bag is roomy enough to carry all my stuff, I like it a lot.

The images are not that great, I have an old camera, but I think you get the idea.  Cheesy
