2  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: I need alittle help with weight gaining recipes. (please don't flame me..) on: August 08, 2011 11:56:20 AM
This reminds of this girl's story: http://stophatingyourbody.tumblr.com/post/2568132832/hi-im-casey-im-19-52-and-feel-like-ive  I agree, ask the doctor about Celiac Disease!  I also agree that lots of protein, natural fats, and complex carbs are all useful for weight gain.

You could try omelets pumped up with:
  • cheeses (cheddar, feta, mozzarella, parmesan)
  • calorie-dense vegetables (potatoes, legumes, yams)
  • meats (sausage, ground chicken/turkey, tuna, bacon)
  • spices (garlic powder, cumin, black pepper, cayenne pepper, iodized salt, etc.)

Serve it on whole wheat toast with a glass of whole milk or a bottle of Ensure.

I also recommend greek yogurt or full-fat cottage cheese with:
  • nuts
  • dried fruits
  • powdered spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger)
  • sweeteners (brown sugar, honey, molasses, etc.)
  • and/or protein powder

I hope you find a solution soon!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Redesigning Fridge Magnets on: August 08, 2011 11:15:10 AM
As soon as I saw BonEsInspired's magnet tutorial (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=197150.0) I knew I had to try it!  I want to add more art and family photos, but now I need more magnets!

Got to cover up that old, rusty fridge somehow!    Cheesy

6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: I finally had the guts to do it!!! on: August 08, 2011 08:52:09 AM
Wow, it looks fantastic.  Was it a costly project?  My fridge is old, chipping, and even has some unsightly rust stains, so I'm looking for a good way to spruce it up!  Also (please excuse my ignorance), will magnets still work through chalkboard paint?  Thanks for sharing with us!   Smiley
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Re: Roman shades from mini blinds on: August 08, 2011 08:44:30 AM
I agree, those shades add the perfect touch to your kitchen!  I'm going to have to try this.  Thanks for sharing!

Wow, this is spectacular.  I like what you did with the curtains, but I especially love the Masonite idea!  That's a great solution for my hideous dining area carpet, I've got to try it.  Thanks for sharing!
