93  kiss tanktop in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lady_cyanide on: June 15, 2007 04:42:31 PM
i've made a few recons that i've never got around to posting, but this was my first tanktop attempt. i actually made it a few years ago from a massive kiss concert shirt i purchased at goodwill. it's just cut and tied up on the sides. my sister in law makes tanktops in this manner all the time, i figured i'd make one myself!

so here it is, modeled today by my dear friend accessory sam:

and this was taken a few years ago, right after i made it, sorry for the blur:

94  blanket and hat, modeled by cat! in Knitting: Completed Projects by lady_cyanide on: March 28, 2007 01:20:57 PM
my brother was digging through a pile of my unfinished items and picked up something that was going to be an armwarmer. he placed it on his head and said "this could be one of those long sleep hats! those are so cool! i'd wear one!" so i made him one, but recently found it in his "trash" box. (what a jerk.) fortunately, the fiance appreciates funny hats. and he also has a blanket i've made for him that matches it perfectly! here's the goods, being modeled by one of my valentine's presents:

i made these for my 2 best friends for xmas a few years ago,

made up the pattern myself, sewed pony beads and weaved ribbon in between. i just found the pattern in the notebook i write my patterns in, i'm going to alter it a little and make more.

96  pillows in Knitting: Completed Projects by lady_cyanide on: February 25, 2007 03:15:43 PM
these aren't recent, i made them several months ago.

this was made when walmart's brand, no boundaries, was making yarn for a little while. a dollar or two per skein, adorable colors, and ridiculously soft!

and this was the superman-obsessed boyfriend's birthday pillow, which left enough scrap to make him a sleepy hat!

97  boyfriend presents! in Knitting: Completed Projects by lady_cyanide on: February 20, 2007 04:29:13 PM

i've made him plenty more than this, but these are the most recent. the beanie came out a little short, and the piece for the pillow came out bigger than the pillow i was covering (that's why it has little ears).

scarves are definately my favourite accessory.

it doesn't really get cold down here too often, but this winter's been kicking ass lately, so i've actually been able to enjoy the fruits of my labor. and even though winter won't be here much longer, i can't help but continue to make more! (and my brain keeps spitting up all these ideas!) this is my most recent and definately most favourite idea yet:

it's super warm, and to hide the icky wrong side of the intarsia...

pockets!

i made up the pattern as i went along, and a pink and black one will be in progress within the next day or so! a tutorial will be included with the next one as well.
