1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet Smurf Slipper Pattern - HELP!! on: December 09, 2008 09:03:17 AM
I was reminiscing this morning about crochet slippers.  Pretty weird, I know.  Anyways, my grandmother (who passed away about 5 years ago) who taught me how to crochet, used to make piles of pairs of slippers that anyone who was visiting her could wear.  That led to me remembering one year, for Christmas, my sibs & I received awesome crocheted slippers from her that had massive Smurf heads on them.  I would love to be able to reproduce these slippers as a present for my sibs (doesn't have to be for Christmas).I have searched the internet, and haven't been able to find a pattern.  I have found a photo of the slippers, but no pattern.

If someone out there could help me get a copy of this pattern, I would be eternally grateful.  I would even be willing to pay for the pattern (within reason) or craft my gratitude.  Feel free to PM me with any info or just reply here.
Thank you all for reading!   Grin
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Survivor's Ribbon Shawl on: August 10, 2008 03:08:25 PM
One of my aunts, who lives in Arizona (I'm far far away up in Canada) is a breast cancer survivor.  One day while poking through Crochet Pattern Central, I found this shawl pattern & decided that I had to make it for her.  It was destined to be, since 2 days later I went into my favourite Salvation Army Thrift Store & found a big bag of brand new pink yarn for less than $3!!  I still have to mail it off (several months later  Embarrassed ) but I really hope that she likes it.  You can make it with & without crosses, but since my aunt is more spiritual than religious, I chose without.  It was super easy to make & worked up really really quickly.

Almost the whole thing in one picture...

A close up shot.

Yes, the shawl is straight, but I was too impatient to fiddle with it for the picture.  In case anyone is interested, here's the link to the pattern...

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / First Timer (IMG Heavy) on: January 03, 2007 09:39:51 AM
Yay!  This is my first post.  I have been lurking around craftster for the last month & a half, and now I am finally giving back (so to speak).  It is all thanks to you guys that I even tried stenciling  Grin  You guys rock!  Anyways, I made 2 shirts for my brother, who is the king of funny t-shirts & another 2 for my girlfriend, Sonia, who I got for gift exchange this christmas.  Both of them were extremely happy with their shirts, and my brother has already requested another shirt asap.  Special thanks to Kristin81 for putting up with my stupid questions & to the kittybuttons website for their awesome stencils.  Anyways, here they are (sorry about the babbling)...

Brother's shirt #1 (the Cobra Kai logo from the Karate Kid)

Logo Closeup (it really is round, don't know why it looks oval)

Brother's shirt #2 (in case you can't read it, it says "Chuck Norris doesn't sleep, he waits.)

Sonia's shirt #1 (she works at Maple Leaf, so I thought it was doubly funny)

Sonia's shirt #2 (she is a cow-liker) You can't tell from the photo, but the shirt is lime green.
