One of my aunts, who lives in Arizona (I'm far far away up in Canada) is a breast cancer survivor. One day while poking through Crochet Pattern Central, I found this shawl pattern & decided that I had to make it for her. It was destined to be, since 2 days later I went into my favourite Salvation Army Thrift Store & found a big bag of brand new pink yarn for less than $3!! I still have to mail it off (several months later ) but I really hope that she likes it. You can make it with & without crosses, but since my aunt is more spiritual than religious, I chose without. It was super easy to make & worked up really really quickly.
Dammit! I told myself that I wasn't going to join, but I couldn't resist. I was in the pet swap too & ended up crafting for cats (Like I know anything about cats...) Anyways, here are some pics of my furbaby. Who could resist crafting for him??!!
BTW, all of these pics are from the pet swap.
I wanted to also show you my fur-nephew, but I am at work right now. I'll show you guys later. His name is Chewie & he is a black pug that was a rescue. I can't wait to get started!
Supersolar really came through for me with a bunch of awesome stuff!
Inside of the box with an extra Indy picture, lots of notes, & bubble wrap for popping!!
A Grail Map placemat. Perfect for under my dog's dish, so he can go adventuring with me!!
A Zepplin t-shirt in my favourite colour with my favourite quote. Even a falling Nazi!!
Not 1, but 2 Indy notebooks. Plus, an Idol crochet hook roll!
Thank you so very very much supersolar for all of the awesome goodies. Also, thanks to Kelda for organizing! I hope that my package for supersolar shows up ASAP so that I can repay her for her generosity.
I received my package today (on a Saturday no less)!! Lykos is super excited about all of the wonderful goodies he received. Thank you so very very much TwiztidBlood!! You did a wonderful job & Lykos has been carrying around both his stuffies at once since he got them!! Sorry in advance for the crazy amount of pictures. Everytime I pull out the camera, the dog wants his picture taken!
Tasty Treats for my little furry diabetic
The pink on the bottom is a cloth mat for under his food dishes, his bandana, his beautiful shell & bead necklace, and a monogrammed holder for plastic bags.
Lykos in his very dashing bandana.
Playing with both of his stuffies (the leopard bone is Leolion & the goose is Frankfort). **BTW, we name all of his toys & he already knows Frankfort's name!!**
Lykos with Leolion
This is the best one I have that was trying to show his necklace off. You can see a hint of the blue. (Plus he just looked so damn cute!)
Once again I got an awesome swap pkg from Michela. Anyone who gets her for a partner is going to be very spoiled! Not only does she make awesome stuff, but she sends the most creative & entertaining letters with her pkgs. This one was all about the stuff she managed to "borrow" when she snuck into the Gryffindor tower. I wish I could share the whole thing for your entertainment, but alas, it is just too long. Anyways, on to the goodies...
What could be inside all of this golden tissue?
Knitted roll for my crochet hooks (in my house colours of course), Gryffindor stitch markers, and a covered crochet hook.
Not one, but 2 t-shirts! Obviously, they look much better in person, damn camera! The red one is a Quidditch jersey with my lucky number on it! She must be psychic, because I don't remember telling her that...
The back of the jersey in all of it's glory
A tote from my wists & tags (that my dog wants to wear) including a gryffindor logo, and best of all Mcgonigal's animagus license!!!
A griffindor/hogwarts cookbook with real muggle recipes!
I got my amazing package from Michela on Monday but didn't get to post the pics before now. She did an absolutely fantastic job. I don't know how I can possibly thank her enough. Everyone is going to be very jealous!
The box as it arrived
All of the goodies.
A close up of my black Hogwarts hat (with removable logo pin), Gryffindor pride earrings, and a matching necklace & earring set (for dressy occasions like the Yule ball),
A spellbook that is actually a box to store valuables in, my own blue pygmy puff (my favourite colour) complete with care sheet, MY OWN OWL (who I still have to name), and personalized stationary to send letters by my owl. Michela did such a wonderful job & my crappy photos don't do the package any justice. She even had little packaging for all of the jewellery & wrote things like "Fine Goblin Jewels" and "2 sickles" on them. I also forgot to show a copy of the note she sent which outlined all of the items included in my "Back to Hogwarts kit". Thank you so very much Michela, you are the best swap partner ever!!!
Yay! I finally received my package from Smithyboy today! Thank you so much for all of the wonderful goodies!!
Adorable handpainted paper lantern (complete with batteries)
An apron with matching detachable hand towel; a painted & beaded wall hook, a painted piggy bank with spots to write 4 different things I am saving for, and a painted frame with cute dog bones & hearts & my puppy's name on it.
Smithyboy even sent a toy for my dog & he won't let it out of his sight!
