1  Re: Dishalicious Dishcloth/Washcloth Swap Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by jenny.bloodless on: July 18, 2007 08:38:56 AM
I received the most awesome package from irilab yesterday! She seriously spoiled me!

We did a personal swap because I was jealous of her life in the Netherlands. Cheesy I got 3 drop dead gorgeous cloths, tea, a notebook, fabric, aniseed cubes, coffee candy, breakfast cake and the most amazingly soft violet bamboo yarn. Oh yes, and a package of stroopwafels but I opened the package at work and the guys out in the shop stole them from before I even knew what they were! Sad They said the caramel was melting so they had to eat them immediately. Cheesy Silly guys! It's okay though because they brought back 2 and they are soo sweet, it would have taken me forever to eat them all on my own. Here's everything together.

These cloths are so completely wonderful I'm going to have a hard time using them. I think they'll just have to serve as decorations in the kitchen for everyone to admire and be jealous of. Grin The flower is definitely my favorite. It's layers are all separate giving it a 3 dimensional effect. Thank you sooo much Iris!! This was the best introduction into swapping I could have ever asked for.

Yay for more pictures! I was gone for a few days on vacation and had the extreme pleasure to come back to lots of pictures. Looking good everyone!  Smiley

Speaking of pictures... I thought I'd put up a few that are a little bit larger of the ones I sent to irilab to show detail.

Iris, I'm soo glad you and your family enjoyed the package. I had a lot of fun making these.

I think I'm definitely going to have to knit that ball band dishcloth. It's absolutely gorgeous.

4  Knitting Needle Roll Up from cutoutandkeep.net in Knitting: Completed Projects by jenny.bloodless on: June 01, 2007 11:17:09 AM
I'm really not sure if this is supposed to go in this board or not but it seemed logical to me. I made this case over the weekend. I got the pattern from http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/knitting_needle_roll_up/
The yellow fabric has little bumble bees in it. My sewing skills aren't the greatest considering I just learned how to use a machine the week before, but I love it.

5  Frogs are Friends! Not Food! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by jenny.bloodless on: May 24, 2007 02:31:15 PM
I made this little froggy for my friend's son who's been having to go through a few too many surgeries for his poor little age of one lately. Really any surgery at the age of one is too many. This is my first stuffed animal of any sort. I'm going to make another one with a minkee tummy for my nephew who is obsessed with minkee anything and everything. He's getting a new baby sister next week so I figured he needed a little something to make him feel special.

6  My Name Is Mud in Spinning: Completed Projects by jenny.bloodless on: May 24, 2007 01:37:01 PM
I keep seeing all of these "my first handspun" posts and I wanted to be weird and do a "my second handspun" post! Cheesy Yeah, I know I'm weird. I would wait until tomorrow for Fiber Friday but I'll tell ya what. That post is intimidating. I can't even pick out a favorite let alone get the nerve up to comment. Yeah, I'm a bit of an introvert when it comes to online communication. Really can't tell you why since I'm so very outgoing normally. I put about a million years of effort into it. Ok, not really that long but it did seem to take forever. Spun on a top whorl drop spindle, some mystery wool from the kit I got for my birthday. I have no idea how long it is, guess I should have thought about that before. Now that it's finally off my spindle I'm working with some corriedale from a little farm up north and wow, what a difference. I don't have to stop every two seconds to pull out little pieces of veg or what have you. Anyways, for the sake of being too wordy for once, here's my little baby. And, yes, it's name is Mud. Partly because of all the extra cleaning it needed and also because of the color. I taught myself how to knit two weeks ago so I'm going to attempt to make a calorimetry with it.

7  Re: Plying & Setting the Twist? in Spinning: Discussion and Questions by jenny.bloodless on: April 23, 2007 07:09:54 PM
feralfeminine - I'm definitely going to be plying then setting the twist from now on. I honestly didn't expect to do anything with these two mini skeins. I was just trying to get the hang of everything. Thanks for the advice though. You guys on here are wonderful! Anyways, here's the pictures of my very first baby.  Cheesy I know it's a bit on the shy side, but believe it or not, it came out way better than I thought it would.

ThisChiq - I have three strawberries on the inside of my left wrist and they have the double thick outline squiggly thing too  Cheesy I got it this year, so even at 24, strawberries are cool! It hurt like something fierce though and my skin wouldn't take any color there.

Sorry if the picture is extremely huge.

9  Tattoo Inspired lamp, light switches, box, a clock and two random chairs. in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by jenny.bloodless on: January 06, 2007 12:12:57 AM
My sister is a tattoo artist and I happen to be infatuated with tattoos so a lot of the things I do have that general theme.

I think the shade might need a little extra frill on the trim. Maybe black feathers? I'm not quite sure about that yet.

Most recent light switches. I apologize for the picture quality on the first one. I gave it away as a present so unfortunately I cannot retake it.

The top of my box that holds my plethora of random buttons.

I know record clocks are a bit over done, but my sister really wanted one for her shop so... voila!

And lastly, my chairs. There is actually a set of 4 (2 black & whites, 2 pink & blacks) but I believe it would be a bit redundant to post all of them.

What do you guys think?

Jesseeyore-
Please ignore my toes! I gave up on pedicures months ago.  Cheesy And I know the band-aid is ever so cute.  Undecided
They were done by Indio at Stingray in Reno. If any of you ever head on over to Reno, the guys at Stingray are amazing. I've had 90% of my work done there by 3 different artists.
