1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / My tattoos swap on: March 30, 2009 05:18:19 AM
So I had this idea bout a tattoo swap- I came up with it while reading about everyones tattoos on the Tree Swap. Basically you would send images of your tattoos as part of the questionnaire and you would get goodies with them on Smiley I have 3 tattoos and two are text, one image- you could pretty much do anything!

Anyone like this idea? Thoughts? I would be a horrendous organiser so someone would have to take the helm for me Wink
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / A question- Not for Eloise24's eyes!! on: March 07, 2009 12:46:44 PM
So I was wondering about embroidering on ribbon? If its held either side on a hoop will that work? Would any ribbon be a better bet? Its all part of a grand plan for our quotes swap!
3  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My Firefly themed love letter box on: February 24, 2009 01:43:33 PM
I made one of those amazing love letter boxes for a swap and am so super proud of it that I wanted to post it here as well Grin

I used two characters from the program Firefly for the names and the chinese symbols inside are for Serenity (the name of the ship) and Love.

Questions, comments, criticism, advice all appreciated and wanted!
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / I killed my tape measure to make some pretties- one broach and one hairband on: February 23, 2009 03:17:56 PM
My tape measure was sitting innocently enough but I decided it had to go!

Now I have one bow tape measure broach

I really wish both the top parts were the same way up Sad Oh well.

And my new favourite thing in the world (and very popular with my housemates) is my new hair band with rosette

I love it!

Comments, criticisms, questions appreciated!
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Hair Treats- Tartan, hearts and giant bows... Blair Waldorf eat you heart out! on: January 29, 2009 06:39:08 AM
So I made a couple more treats for my hair... Apologies for my dreadful pics... Bought a new phone to have a better camera and its worse than the old one!  Will be buying a digital camera soon me thinks...

Heres both together

Heres the tartan hair clip.  You can see the size compared to my hand... Huge tartan layered bow (I think its called and archers bow? Something like that...) And a giant black plastic heart (nicked from an unworn necklace).

A dreadful picture of the hair band... My nail varnish looks good at least!

And an action shot of the red bow

Hope you like, I would really appreciate comments/constructive criticism!
6  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / The Americans have resin... on: January 18, 2009 10:17:55 AM

I had a vague nose on google but couldnt find it. Anyone got any ideas?
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / ALice bands and bows- Image heavy!! on: December 10, 2008 08:17:04 AM
So I bought a black alice band (head band, hair band, whatever you wana call em) witha huge bow on it in Topshop and it cost me like 8 (i.e. Alot!).  As much as its amazing I thought hay! I can just make these myself! So heres what I've done so far

Im obsessed with blue atm so these are both blue Cheesy

The first one is a navy with squary bits, I twisted the ribbon around then made the bow, theres a teeny bit of glue visible on the bow which is annoying and one bit that went wrong on the actual band (you can see a sticky out bit)

Here it is on my very uneven parting

Then theres the blue houndstooth super large bow, this one was wrapped around so the pattern was visible.  The bow was made after hours of swearing and then discovering the perfect bow section on Martha Stewarts website (its still not perfect but its good enough for me!)

And here it is on my head, which is where it is currently residing!

Hope you like them, Im thinking of setting up an Etsy shop and these are so quick and easy to make- and Ive now found a place to get cheap wholesale bands.  Woo for wholesale!
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Christmas gift tags on: December 10, 2008 08:03:23 AM
Heres my gifts tags I made for christmas, theyre quite simple but I think theyre ace.  The reindeers are slightly 3d and made of felt, the sleigh bell sounds lovely.  God bless Paperchase Cheesy

Group shot, theres an extra white one but it wouldnt fit!

Close up of the white one
