1  Re: A crafty detective gallery of sneakiness!! in The Swap Gallery by battenberg on: April 25, 2009 05:11:14 AM
I received from Pinkmichk Grin I was super spoiled and super happy! Sorry but this is image heavy!

First of all the obligatory pic of everything. This is the only pic of the little Twilight inspired card as well Smiley As you can see my obsession with owls has been well sated for at least a little while Grin Roll Eyes Wink

First of all, awesome wall art of little birds which I love Smiley Red and black is one of my favourite colour combinations. Thats a normal sized photocopy sheet (A4 in England) to show the size. (theyre two seperate pieces... They dont look it in the pic)

Next is a wonderful cherry blossom purse with her first zip, Im very impressed, Ive only ever done a zip once and it was horrendous!

An amazing owl tshirt! Its nice to not have it on the chest because my breasts kinda stretch everything outa shape... And a close up of the little cutie.

A little matching wrist pin cushion and needlebook, lovely fabric Smiley I used the pin cushion last night but had to be careful I didnt stab any owls in the eye lol.

Two jewellry sets. I finally have a nest necklace Cheesy And I love mixed metals! So awesome. The beads are a very pale bluey colour . The green button set are fantastic, green is one of my favourite colours, and got many compliments from my housemates! I really like the earrings with both as well

Lastly, but certainly not leastly, an amazing owl embroidered tote! I loves it! I was going to write what my favourites are but it was pretty much everything lol.

2  Re: Book Lovers Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by battenberg on: April 18, 2009 06:39:58 AM
I received from sg1pyschopath Grin Super exciting!

First of all a picture of everything Smiley The book is called Moondial, looks super interesting, I cant wait to read it Cheesy We are sending each other 2 books but the other hadnt arrived so Ill get another package soon Cheesy Woot!

I said I needed bookmarks because I always have several books on the go but only 1 bookmark! I really love them, especially the red one!

Hand bound notebook, I will use this to keep notes on the books I read Smiley I always mean to but it uses up so much room in my normal journal! Also this will make choosing for the next round easier Wink *Hint hint*

And a little book pouch which is awesome, did I mention I LOVE electric blue with black?? Must be flipping pyschic! Anyway its very kool with easy velcro (I have no patience with fussy openings- give me velcro, poppers or magnets!)

I will be posting Monday, got my bits all piled up and ready to go Cheesy

Oooo! And she included a little roll of sequins which kind of look like a weird lump in the first photo, I loves sequins Cheesy Thank you!!!!!!

I received a few days ago but it was my birthday on Wednesday so life has been hectic! Here are photos of what the wonderful Lunastara sent me! I took pictures on our wonderful drift wood table in our living room Wink

First off was this wonderful leather bound notebook, with owls Cheesy One sleeping and one waking up to make sure no one breaks in! Dont know why this one pic came out so rubbishly Sad

Then theres this AWESOME stamp set- so I can make my own cherry blossoms Cheesy And an art piece that demonstrates the stamps. It has bits from A Midsummer Nights Dream in the background, I will be looking for a frame for it! I only seem to have the close up of the tree stamp... Will try and find a bigger pic later!

And last but by no means least a tree dream catcher Cheesy Which is amazing and really flipping inspired! Again its a cherry blossom. One feather had detached itself in the post but other than that it held up super well!

I have been a rubbish swap partner with my lateness but my housemate took the package today to post so it will be winging its way to Lunastara this afternoon!!

4  Re: Another Crafty Detective Swap!! sign up 3-18 to 4-01 send out 5-01 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by battenberg on: April 08, 2009 03:03:01 PM
Oooooo craft rooms are my new favourite subject Cheesy Im currently in a student shared house (everything is bland! White walls, beige carpets... BLAH) But in July/August I am going to move into the basement at my grandmas house, which is currently like this:

Its all one big room, but that back spur has two work benchs which have a sink, and black and white tiled floor so I cant make a mess Cheesy Its a step up from the rest of the room. The rest of the room is carpetted with a huge bed. I cant wait to live there, its like it was built for a crafter! It will be much appreciated after my current pile of baskets that constitute a craft area lol.

Karaoke received but doesnt have a cord for her camera so here are the things I made, Im sorry for so many images!

First off were some 'Book' marks... I still cannot express HOW funny I thought this was! Or how clever I thought I was! Haha. One says "The Bible Fuzzy on the subject of kneecaps" and the other says "If you'd prefer a lecture I have got a few very catchy ones prepped!"

Next up I had a very lateral moment with a Firefly purse (Hes so cute!)

Then to cover Buffy and Angel I did a little Vampire purse (the first thing I planned and made) I swear it wasn't that wonky in realy life Huh Undecided

Next up were cards- there were six but heres some of them. Included some Dr Horrible ones- the envelopes have birds on Wink (I used all the Whedon Verses in someway!)

Then my big thing- A Simon and Kaylee love letter box! I had never made anything like this and seriously loved doing it! The chinese symbols are serenity and love. I have to post lots of pics so Im super proud!

I wrapped it all in lovely orangey tissue papers because orange seems to fit in with the whole Firefly mood Cheesy

My tape measure was sitting innocently enough but I decided it had to go!

Now I have one bow tape measure broach

I really wish both the top parts were the same way up Sad Oh well.

And my new favourite thing in the world (and very popular with my housemates) is my new hair band with rosette

I love it!

Comments, criticisms, questions appreciated!

Got this amazing Leather hand bound journal I love it so much!

Well not actual blood- actually it came with lots and lots of words for my journalling- straight off my wists- one of random words and one of Angel inspired words

And if you look really closely you can see where I spilt my coffee on my bed just before photos Embarrassed Undecided Theyre drying right now... My first swap casualty Roll Eyes

Thanks so much to Karaoke who made me fabulous things.  And thank you to Dragonmama for such an awesome swap- Because of it I have now seen all of Firefly/Serenity and Dr Horrible and I promise I will be back in Summer for more fun and games Grin Kiss Kiss

10  Hair Treats- Tartan, hearts and giant bows... Blair Waldorf eat you heart out! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by battenberg on: January 29, 2009 06:39:08 AM
So I made a couple more treats for my hair... Apologies for my dreadful pics... Bought a new phone to have a better camera and its worse than the old one!  Will be buying a digital camera soon me thinks...

Heres both together

Heres the tartan hair clip.  You can see the size compared to my hand... Huge tartan layered bow (I think its called and archers bow? Something like that...) And a giant black plastic heart (nicked from an unworn necklace).

A dreadful picture of the hair band... My nail varnish looks good at least!

And an action shot of the red bow

Hope you like, I would really appreciate comments/constructive criticism!
