This was my first try at stenciling! Not bad! Used freezer paper, silver acrylic with textile medium added and a little glitter Better picture later, I was just so excited!

Finished another VIDA. This has to be my new favorite pattern and it is soooo easy. I took off the bottom panel and just added the ruffle instead so it was a bit shorter. Can't wait to see this one on Abby. Dot fabric is Amy Butler and the other I picked up at Hancock...

Well, with all this new fabric I've been buying I figured I had better find a quick way to get rid of some of my stash...a simple pillowcase dress with applique..

Another cute Euro pattern....this dress was easy. It took me longer to figure out the color combo than it did to make the dress I think!

Well here are two firsts...my first crochet (that wasn't a simple scarf) and my first amigarumi...at least my little one loves it! One arm looks bigger than the other but it's actually because it's supposed to be "falling off"...and well, maybe it IS a little bigger
 

I just love this pattern and you can do sooo many things to it! I wanted to add the brown fabric to the bottom of the underdress as well but ran out of it... maybe I will pick some up next time...it is 2 hours away from me! Comments and criticisms welcome. I saw the pear bag on here and said I have to have that bag for our upcoming trip. I bought the owl fabric awhile back but couldn't decide what style of bag I wanted to use it for. The Highbrow Hobo looked just perfect...I can see that I need to add another row of stitching on my bias tape...I was afraid I wouldn't catch it in places so I went rather high up...Hope you like it and thanks to U-handbag and meg for the inspiration! A close up of the fabric just because I love it so much...I also made the bias tape for it...almost did green but in the end the pink won out!

These are no where near as good as the more elaborate costumes on here but I still had a lot of fun making them and maybe someone could use the idea for their own next year. The boys had great ideas for Halloween costumes this year. The idea was all theirs. I'm just glad they wanted to be something scary this year instead of a video game character....we've gone through a lot believe me! The pumpkin head was done with paper mache over a giant punching balloon. I sewed rafia along the inside wrists and the bottom of his shirt so it looked like he was stuffed.

The mummy was made with torn strips of muslin and cheesecloth that had been tea dyed. I hot glued the strips onto a pair of long johns. Luckily I have a skinny little dude becuase it doesn't stretch too well after that lol. He has a creepy crawler bug maker machine so he made scorpions and other creepy crawlies to glue on there.

I found this really great fabric from the thrift store and had it forever before deciding to make this dress! I love it! My best friend had to help me with the back and making the bust fit properly and all because I am smaller than my dressmaker. It isn't fully zipped on the dress maker either. It actually zips up to the slant. No pics of me wearing it yet, maybe when it gets warmer! There is a trim around the outer edge but I removed the bow after taking the pic cause I didn't like the way it looked.

Finally sat down and put together a messenger style laptop bag for you guessed it! My laptop! I wish I would have done the pockets different but too late now! I like it all the same! Onto the pictures!
