11  Ottobre spring design with top in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by pixeegrl on: February 23, 2008 12:29:28 PM
Made this little set for my goddaughter from the same fabric as my newest purse. Micheal Miller I think. Bottoms are from the Spring issue of Ottobre and the top is just a little simplicity top. I really don't like where the buttonhole placement is next time I will put it lower where I think it should be not where the pattern says. I do love the bottom of the little pants and applique, it should fray a bit in the wash I hope. It does have heatnbond on it so it should not fray too much. I feel like the little top needs something extra, maybe a little rick rack on bottom?

12  Men Love Flowers Too---Twizzler Flowers! in Valentine's Day by pixeegrl on: February 13, 2008 05:27:04 PM
Especially when they're made from Twizzlers! I made this little bouquet for him for Valentines from his favorite candy Strawberry Twizzlers and those of you who grew up in the 80's know all about green m&m's! How cool you can buy them by the bag now! He loved it, I gave it to him tonight. I just couldn't wait. The flowers were cut out using my sizzix and die cuts.
close up of the flowers...

13  Amy Butler Fabric Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by pixeegrl on: February 10, 2008 04:31:32 PM
Just a simple tote for my MIL for school. She gets a new one every couple of months to carry her papers in-she's a teacher. I just love this fabric! Got enough for myself of course too!

14  Craftster inspired cuteness in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by pixeegrl on: February 10, 2008 04:13:12 PM
Sorry for the bad lighting it's night and I didn't feel like waiting until tomorrow to snap picks.
I want to say thank you to all you great crafters who are such an inspiration. This bag is just an accumulation of some of the favorite styles I have seen on here lately. Both fabrics are a Michael Miller print from Yummy Fabrics. It's small in size with the top measuring only about 8" acorss. There's a small pocket inside just perfect for my phone. The color is actually a dark chocolate brown and the green is lime with bright blue flowers. All comments are welcome!

and last but not least a close up of fabric as I try to get the real colors.....didn't work very well

15  Chocolate Covered Cherries Valentines Dress in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by pixeegrl on: January 24, 2008 06:23:38 PM
Valentines dress made for best friends daughter using Moda fabric, for some reason it reminds me of chocolate covered cherries. Added a plaid band to bottom for a little something extra. I will add action shots this weekend when they visit. Colors are a little off on my picture for some reason the reds are closer in color in person. The little bow on the collar is for her hair I just clipped it onto the dress so I wouldn't loose it!

16  My version of the hipslinger posted in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by pixeegrl on: August 13, 2007 10:37:15 AM
The Hipster! Okay, that's what I'm calling it. Got the idea from  tutorial
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=31379.0
Mines different but still the same basic concept. Not having to carry anything like a purse around. Made it for Busch Gardens.  Now that my kids are bigger, I have no need for a stroller and hate having to fill up my pockets and worry about stuff falling out  on those great loopy coasters! It just loops onto your belt and you are good to go! Perfect size for money, keys, and cell phone!

I realize this is an old post, but it must be a popular idea because it has been bumped up a lot recently. I'm making this dress

or you can click the link to zoom in on the details of the pleating and such in the bodice

19  a couple new dresses in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by pixeegrl on: April 24, 2007 11:35:05 AM
I was recently asked by a lady from work to make matching dresses for her granddaughters. Here's the final outcome, I think they turned out cute... sorry for the bad lighting in the pics. There's an S on the larger one for Samantha and the baby's had a C but I must not have had it pulled tight enough when embroidering (by machine) because it wrinkled a bit so I covered it with a cute pocket. The bigger one has a matching hairbow but the baby has no hair yet! Sorry for the run on sentence!

Country girls!
The next is for my friends daughter who is a huge strawberry shortcake fan. It has a matching hairbow too with it(you can see it along the neckline)

I have 3 boys so I make things for all the little girls I know. Thanks goodness my best friend has 2 little girls!

20  cute tote with sparrow and rainboots? Oh my! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by pixeegrl on: March 26, 2007 01:09:11 PM
I made up this cute little tote this weekend. It's a collection of some cute fabric I fell in love with for who knows why and this great little sparrow that was from a free embroidery site!
You can't see it but it's lined with a black and pink polka dot fabric with pockets.
