2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 5th Year Anniversary on: August 07, 2008 12:49:20 PM
So my boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years, We've decided no gifts but, every anniversary and valentines day I make him something fun, and sweet. But this year it's like I have hit a brick wall and my brain stopped working. I've already done the whole What I love about you book, and all of that good stuff. I am asking for help...

    * It's our 5th year anniversary.
    * He's going to be 19 soon.
    * He plays almost any instrument known to man, he's very musical. Mainly metal.  He plays video games, and computer games. He's a night owl. When he can't sleep he reads Edgar Allan Poe.  His favorite color is grey or black. He's not a sports guy. He's the guy that has everything. He's a manager of a movie theater and he's there 6 out of 7 days. He doesn't really like junk food, or candy.
    * I have given him, Guitar straps, a drum stick holder, custom drum sticks and Picks, CDs Clothes(he's not a fan of the whole clothes thing.) Stuffed animals, an Earflap hat, scarves.
    * I can Knit, sew, papercraft and I love to cook/bake.

Please, please help...
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / boring lawn chairs.. on: June 19, 2008 06:17:47 PM
So I bought these lawn chairs from a garage sale, they were 2 dollars a piece, I couldn't pass them up, I spent a whole 4 dollars. The only problem was that they were kind of hard, so I went to another garage sale and bought a kids paint smock, for a quarter.  When I got it all home I went to make some pillows to soften up the chairs and the smock didn't cover the whole chair, so I went to Joann Fabrics and got a yard of orange fabric and the rest is history...

This is the chair before, boring and hard...

This is the finished project....

I want to add a fabric covered button to the orange, The pillows are tied on so I can bring them in when it rains.

and a close up of the flower pattern....

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my not so new desk thing.... on: September 07, 2007 07:29:40 PM
So I have this desk/table thing in my room and it has taken quite a beating. It was warped and I had a post-it note on it with a phone number and it had gotten wet and the number was stained onto the table, so I sanded it and repainted it with a high gloss which I was kind of if-y on, then I found more black paint and painted on a picture and this is how it turned out.... I'm super pleased with it.

this is a close up of the painting on it.

this is what it looked like before I sanded it and all of that good junk... Kinda nasty, I know.

I'm super happy with the way it turned out..

Thanks for looking!! Smiley

10  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Dinosaur wallet on: August 25, 2007 04:10:38 PM
I made this here wallet using this tutorial,http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=187229.0 which is amazing! I suggest everyone checks it out!

I love this material, and I couldn't find a purse that I found fitting....so here is my super cool dinosaur wallet..

this is the front, I used a snap but the stitching around the snap is super noticeable and I don't like it so I might redo it and use white thread.

this is the opening... I like the dinosaur playing baseball!

and here is the back... I also like this dinosaur!

thanks for checking it out!!
