3  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / trying to ship to Australia on: January 13, 2007 10:44:48 PM
I am in the United States and I have a friend in Australia that wanted to pay me for some items that I made for her.

The money order would be in USD but I was wondering if anyone has shipped to Australia before and what should I be mindful of?

And can I cash/deposit an Australian money order?

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Swarovski Crystal Ideas on: December 25, 2006 02:52:46 PM
Hello,

I recently purchused a batch of 4mm swarovski crystals in various colors (all 4mm) and was wondering if anyone has done any projects recently with them.  I've started making earrings with them but the design is all the same and i am starting to get bored.  Not to mention I don't have the proper materials to make any of the designs in my bead magazines.

So does anyone have an interesting design I could make.

Thanks in advance!!!

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Need Help finding materials for specific project... on: December 09, 2006 12:51:49 PM
My cousin is getting married in May and she needs to get gifts for her bridesmaids. I showed her the latest edition of BeadStyle and she really  liked the necklace under the section marked "All that Glitters."

She wants the necklace at the moment, and possibly the earrings for six bridesmaids.  The person that created the design sells kits for both but together they cost $90 and for six girls that could get expensive.  I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find any of the following supplies so I could try to price out the design for her.

The supply list includes the following:

NECKLACE:

12 x 18mm Crystal drop component
5 6x15mm two loop crystal drop components
2 10mm two loop flower components
10mm three-loop flower component
6 7mm two-loop channel set components
8-10 in of 2.6mm crystal set chain
4 chain connectors
(The rest I can find easily)

Any help in this venture will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Registering a Domain Name and Post Office Boxes on: November 20, 2006 05:00:38 PM
Hey guys...

I am just starting out and I am eager to break into the buisness world.  I was wondering where I would go to register a domain name and what the process involved.  Any help offered on this subject would be much appreciated.

On that note, post office boxes...yay or nay.

I was considering the perks...being able to freely send packages and information to clients (and swaps are an added bonus).

Anyway...thanks for your advice in advance.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What is blocking? on: November 18, 2006 06:16:54 PM
I've read some pattern instructions but they all referred to it really vaguely.  I was wondering if someone else would be willing to explain it in more detail?

Many thanks to anyone willing to help.
