1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / lazy, Lazy, LAZY! My version of an I-Spy... on: May 07, 2007 06:08:12 AM
I've long been an admirer of I-Spy baby quilts, amazing amount of piecing!! My mom made one for my kids, it's awesome for trips and places you need them to be quiet. Here's hers...

A friend was expecting and I decided to cheat and make an easier version of the I-Spy. I'm just not into cutting tons of little pieces, I do more paper piecing and big applique. So here we are, the first is the one I did when we did not know the sex, I asumed it would be a girl (as they already have 3 girls). Obviously I asumed wrong! So this one is waiting here for a baby girl to be born...

And after she had a baby boy (yay!) I whipped this one up in, seriously, 3 days.

The best is going out and getting 1/4 yd of the craziest prints, they HATE you when you bring a 20 bolt stack and only get 1/4  Angry
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Strangely enough, another Cloth Activity Book! on: February 01, 2007 05:34:37 PM
It's weird how there have been several activity books posted lately! This monster took WAY too long to finish. Ran into the usual snafu's that occur when you don't make a pattern or even plan it out really! Ah well, he loves it. Had to photograph it while he napped!

And open... an elephant and Blue

Faces, velcro assortment of eyes, noses, and mouths

Bunny and Shoelaces, we spend alot of time on this page!

And flaps...

I didn't want to spend much on it (all I bought was the zipper and buckle), that's why it's mostly made out of the denim that was our old futon cover! What a pain that was to sew, my machine needs some TLC now  Grin
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I Heart Squirrels - A hobo-ish bag ala runnermom (link added 1/12)! on: January 11, 2007 10:32:23 AM
I made this bag for my sister for her birthday. The tutorial  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=125025.0  was super easy (though I did alter it, I made it a bit smaller) and I got it done in a day and a half! The lining and patch is this awesome fabric from IKEA and the checkered outside is flannel.

4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Um... Yeah... So, I saw this bag at Old Navy... ;) on: January 08, 2007 03:24:06 PM
This will be vaguest post ever so bear with me!! I saw this bag at Old Navy a year or more ago, it was either spring or summer because it was bright floral prints. It was also in the girls dept, not womens. I drew a very bad pic of it on paint (geez I'm embarassed!). The thing about it I liked was the criss cross at the top. It wasn't just sewn that way but it was fully lined and looked like a tricky sort of pattern to get it all criss crossed. I don't remember exactly how the straps were but I do know that they werent seperatly attached, make sense? Like it was part of the pattern not a seperate piece that was added later. It was squared at the bottom and didn't have sides. Told you, vague!! So, if anyone has even the slightest idea what I'm talking about.... you know!

Thanks, Adrian
5  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Wall hanging for my mum... I don't think I like it! on: November 12, 2006 07:40:27 AM
I worked on this for about a month and now, well, I think it's missing something. I don't know what though. Maybe the background is too plain, maybe the stems are too thick, maybe the border is wrong. It was going to be for her birthday but if I can't figure out what I need to do to it to make it not ug then in trouble! Hmmmm

6  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / My Garden Gnome and Robot on: November 12, 2006 07:32:31 AM
I know it's November but I just found you all! Yes, I have been living in a cave! My little one was a Garden Gnome (ala Travelocity) and my older one was a Robot with working lights and all! He swears he got extra candy for his costume. The little one was happy to just sit in the wagon with some Skittles!
