I started this afghan for my hubby-to-be, and as I was working on it, I was oblivious to the fact that the squares are HUGE. I thought they were looking a little off but figured it would come together in the end. Well, I'm 18 out of 30 squares in, and... I hate it. I absolutely hate it. I'll pick it up and do a few stitches, and have to put it down because it angers me.
I've done so much on it, I don't want to start over... but I don't think I'll ever finish. To motivate me to finish, I put together a row... and still hated it. If I do scrap it, I think I'm going to use the same yarn and just make a stripe or ripple afghan.
This is the pattern, for the curious. If you want to make it, for the love of all that is delicious in the world, read the comments like I did not do. Use a smaller hook. Or bulkier yarn. http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/20124AD.html
Thanks for any help or advice!
