1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Crochet hook charm... thingies. :) on: March 14, 2012 09:47:00 PM
I finally made some crochet charm thingies! This idea has been puttering around in my head a while, because I'm sick of taking the hook from one project for another project and then going back to the first project later and forgetting which hook I was using. They're not fancy or perfect, but they'll work and I think they look pretty. Cheesy I made two sets for the hooks I use most often, but I plan to make a few extras and probably one each for all the other odd hooks I have.

This is actually my second attempt at making these, the first one I just used cheap beads that I had, and it looked like crap. I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and while wandering around I ended up with a handful of beads and realized they'd be nice for this project. (That place is terrible for me, I go in for one thing and come out with everything.) So far I've just tested them on some spare yarn and they work well for my needs. The clips aren't the greatest, but I couldn't find the right size lobster clasps, but when I get some it will be easy to switch them out if I want to.

Anyway, sorry for all the words. Have a picture!

The colors are actually more pastel than they look here. The contrast messed with the colors. The beads are a mix of white, clear, greens, and blues. Smiley

I wasn't sure where to post this, crochet board? Trinkets? So here it is in misc.

That is pretty cute!

I'm apparently the only weirdo who is wondering what if he needs to go potty though? Lol Tongue

This is gonna sound weird, but I like the pictures with all the severed Barbie limbs. Cheesy Also, I didn't know what the logo was supposed to be until I saw that you marked it mature... and then I was like, ooooohhhhhhhh!

Wow, that is amazing! I love rainbows too! I wish I had the patience to do something like this... one day perhaps. Cheesy

Thanks! I usually don't make many projects in a short amount of time. I'm always getting distracted by a new shiny project. So this is quite the achievement for me. :3

Thanks! My husband thinks I'm nuts for making her all these outfits. "Oh, she's got lots of fur, she'll be fine!" But she's a puppy and I live in the cold north. Plus it's fun and she'll be super cute. Cheesy

Thank you both, that's exactly what I was looking for! I'm going to have to find a ride to the Big City and raid all their craft stores now. Cheesy

Wow, that's insane! I love it! I doubt I'd ever have the patience to do something like that. Maybe one day.
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Random finished objects! on: January 27, 2012 04:57:15 AM
I went through a crochet frenzy recently and actually finished a few things. Still have a lot of WIPs, but here's what I finished so far:

Teal hat with butterfly applique. I think the hook was too small for the yarn, because it kind of... puckers? I dunno. It looks fine on though.

I love this hat! It was supposed to be toddler size but I think I made it too big. Just means I have to make another one, but it's a quick project.

Actually finished this a while ago, just didn't add the button closure or weave in ends until the other day.

Frilly pink sweater dress for my Shih-Tzu. I don't have her yet so no modelling.

Another one for the pup. This is smaller so it should fit her right away, for a little while at least. After that... hopefully someone else can use it. Smiley

That's all for now, but I have more that I'll hopefully finish soon. If you want links to the patterns for any of these, let me know! The two dog outfits were made from the same pattern modified by me.
