31  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Pippi Kneestockings from SNB 2 pairs on: June 30, 2005 12:04:41 PM
Thank you so much for your offer to help!  (You may just live to regret that...  Tongue)  My book says you should start with 26 stitches and end with 24... but I keep ending with 23.  Here's why:

K16, ssk, turn   -----one decrease so far with the ssk-------   makes 25 stitches
Sl1, p6, p2tog, turn     -----another one with the p2tog-----  makes 24 stitches
Sl1, k6, ssk, turn    -----the third and last decrease with the ssk------  makes 23 stitches

Is that right?  Where oh WHRERE have I gone wrong??  ::insert dramatic waving of the hands here::

I love them!!!  They look absolutely perfect!  ...which is why I must beg for your assistance....

"I'm working on the pippi kneestockings, and I'm to the heel turn. And I simply can not figure it out. I have 26 sts like I'm supposed to, but if I follow the pattern, then I'll have 23 sts where I'm supposed to have 24. I'm so confused. Please help."

I copied this post word for word 'cause I am having the EXACT same problem, and no one was able to help poor Sarah out!!!  Hopefully I will be more fortunate.  What am I doing wrong?

Also, at the end of those directions, my yarn is on both needles.  Is that right?

Wow, that is absolutely beautiful!  And looks fairly simple too.  I REALLY want to start it tonight, but I just have one question.  What does "Next round, make 1 stitch in each stitch" mean??

And of course, I'd love to see YOUR pinwheel blankie when it's done, or even your WIP.  Thanks!

Woo hoo I'm excited to start.  I have all of my ideas planned and mapped out, but darn money keeps getting in the way.  I don't get paid 'til Thursday, so I can't go on my Craft Warehouse shopping spree for another TWO DAYS!   Angry

And organizedmess, I don't see this swap on my profile.  I'm sure you'll figure it out.   Smiley

LoL I thought about that when I first joined this swap, but didn't want to jinx it by saying anything.  I guess it's a jinx in itself...
