4  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / cooking with children. on: October 17, 2010 05:26:22 AM
Just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to share some super simple, but healthy recipes that I could make with 2-3-4 year olds. Im studying childcare, and considering the obesity epidemic everything has to be aimed at healthy eating and I also want the kids to be able to do most of the 'work' obv with supervision, however Im really struggling with recipes. Even stuff I can adapt so its simpler for kiddies would be great. Thanks in advance. Smiley
5  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / Re: My Second Recon! An old lady dress to a cute summer dress! Tute? Dunno! img hev. on: October 12, 2010 11:17:58 PM
Haha, how cute is your brother!

I really like the dress too. Ive been desperately looking for some summery dresses, but the clothes at my local thrift stores more often than not are made of yucky polyester. Found a gorgeous dress the other day, but only in a size 10 (I need more like a 14-16) and as soon as my mum saw it she kidnapped it, before I could alter it. Ah well, more searching.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Leggings :) on: October 04, 2010 10:11:34 PM
I like very much.. Ive been thinking about making my own leggings when it gets a bit cooler. Did you wing it, or use a pattern? How do these fit? They look quite basic (as in, I could do that)
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Altering swimmers? on: October 01, 2010 12:12:12 AM
I've got a black one piece that is perfectly lovely and like-new. I really do not want to buy new swimmers this year, especially when I paid 30 dollars for my one piece last year and theres nothing wrong with it. However, it doesnt fit anymore as I weighed 105 kilograms last summer and Im more like 90 kilograms now, with intent to downsize further. I have an overlocker and sewing machine, and Im reasonably adept at using my sewing machine, slightly less at using the overlocker. Is it possible to take in? Its waaaay too small in the bust ( Sad ) and sagging at the bum but still fits reasonably well around the middle... The design is pretty ordinary, its low cut at the back with a v neck front, thick straps..

Should I just cut my losses and buy a new one? Or is this possible?
