1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Velvet Coffin Ring Display on: July 28, 2016 07:15:05 PM
Today at work we finally had some Halloween themed craft supplies. I found this coffin chalkboard  decoration I knew I had to have it. It's a really good size and I was sure I could make something with it. There was a lot of traffic when I left so I decided to stop by the dollar store and wait it out. There I saw some foam hair rollers and I was inspired to make a ring display. I've been wanting to make one and I think this is the perfect design.

I hot glued the rollers end to end and cut it to fit in the coffin shape, I hot glued those down into the coffin, then I draped some crushed velvet over the display and tucked the fabric between the rollers.  Tadah!

It only took 20 minutes or so. 8 definitly want to make a few more. Next time I'll take in progress shots.

I love it. What do you think?  - audio
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Another Disney Swap on: July 27, 2016 11:47:36 AM
I did the tsum tsum swap and now I'm itching for another Disney swap. I'm thinking just a general Disney swap with a couple of items.

I just can't get enough and hope there's some more Disney fanatics ready to swap.

What's a good time frame?
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Evil Queen Minnie Halloween Mickey Carl Tsum on: July 25, 2016 05:22:31 PM
Alright I hosted the Disney Tsum Tsum Swap and here's all the goodies I made. I had a lot of ideas so I sent to two partners.

I made a Evil Queen Minnie Custom Tsum and a Poison Apple Tsum Pin for kittykill.

And a Carl from Up tsum hoopla and a custom Halloween Mickey custom Tsum. My pics didn't turn out very well for Mickey but he's in the group photo below.

Everything together
Including extras and some shrinky dink tsums I made.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / 5 Skull Teesha Moore Patches on: July 21, 2016 09:55:10 PM
I made these for myself for the Fake Swapping Craft along. I really like skulls and would like to make a large TM piece with all Skull patches so I started a little collection that will hopefully grow from participating in future swaps.

7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Disney Hades Wall Hanging on: June 23, 2016 12:27:24 PM
I made this wall hanging for the Disney Villain Swap.

I really like Hades, and his little minion pals Pain and Panic.  So for this I free motion stitched Hades head and on each side is the color of each of his minions. I added beading and buttons. It was a lot of fun to make.  But it took forever,  I tried two or three different versions before this one and I haven't done a lot of free form stitching before.

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Alien Head Hoodie on: June 10, 2016 11:53:28 PM
I've had this project on my list forever. And Im so excited to finally have it done. I cut this holographic vinyl on my cricut then I used my machine's blanket stitch to sew it onto my Hoodie. I also make a smaller version to cover the pink logo on the front.  It's even better thank I expected, really glad I found this vinyl fabric. It's so pretty!

What do ya think?!

10  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Bat Goddess Fashion Top on: June 10, 2016 01:43:45 AM
I have been trying to create my dream wardrobe,  but this thing is that gets expensive very quickly.  So a few months ago I purchased bags of clothes from goodwill to makeover.  This is the first item I've made so far!

I saw a really cute tank online that I've been drooling over,  but thanks to my crafty expertise I knew I'd be able to make it.

I used iron on vinyl,  cut it out with my cricket.  I separated each piece and placed them around the shirt until I liked the layout.  Then I ironed ironed ironed.  So much ironing.

I'm so in love with the result,  and now I want to dress up and wear it out.  Haha too bad I'm basically a recluse.
