1  recycled tin collage in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by clayfaery on: April 06, 2012 07:39:05 AM
I wanted to share some pictures of my tin collage art .
Each piece is made by carefully sawing out images on tin then arranges onto wood and carefully nailed down . Sometimes with dollhouse nails ..{they're very tiny and don't obscure the piece }

2  New recycled tin jewelry in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by clayfaery on: December 08, 2009 07:26:31 PM
I've been experimenting with using tin in new ways .
These are from a new series of shadow box inspired pendants .

Each of these are made by sawing out images found on new and old tin. I then file and rivet the them together !

So what do you guys think?

So I love my yard but we get very little sun which means very little color . So I decided to mosaic those brick flower bed wall segments at home depot. they're about 1.30 $ each and all of the plates have come from thrift stores.

and here's a close up of one of the segments

5  My very first large doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by clayfaery on: March 05, 2009 05:51:14 PM
I usually make small {4 or 5 inch high }dolls but I recently became obsessed with the idea of making a larger cloth bodied doll. You know the kind with ceramic hands, feet and head ?

This is what i came up with .
The first picture shows the parts with one of my small dolls to show scale

here she is all finished . i even knit her a little sweater !

I think i'm going to have to make more ! But i need to tweak my pattern a bit before i make another .

6  Tiny tentacle charms in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by clayfaery on: March 04, 2009 02:36:53 PM
So I'm in a creepy sea monster themed charm sway and this is what I came up with

I made the tentacles out of polymer clay .
to cure them as they're so tiny I put them in a bowl of water and cooked the water in the microwave for about 4 minutes .

Painted them and stuffed them into the tiny jars. I then filled the jars with blue tinted resin. And TADA ! tiny tentacle charms.
