I now have little sheddings of brown fleece all over the house but it was worth it!

I couldn't decide if I should show pics of how I did the wig so if you wanna see, lemme know!

The rest of the costume is pretty easy to explain LOL

Heehee.  I'm not sure if I can tell you how this idea came about.... There's stuff rolling around in my head....constantly. ....it never stops.....

The Modge-Podge you know    The Paper was saved from the trash bin when I was working at a travel agency.  It's a really nice folder that I knew would have potential some day!!


Here's the pieces I came up with to use:


The yellow pieces came from the papers that were inside the folder!

Now, here was something I didn't expect - the kids walking by saw the marbles and wanted to buy them!!  I am either going to bring extras that I can, in fact, sell or I'm going to make them less attractive.  heehee

I posted back on the first page and posted 4 of my drawings.  I got one response as to a name that was really a good idea (thank you crazystargrl!!) but I want to go in a different direction.  "Craftinator" is pretty whimsical I think and I wanted a different 'flavor' for my drawings.  I'm also getting into photography:



So, I'm having a "I want to sit in my chair with my laptop and veg" night so I thought I'd try a few things to see if I could come up with a name.  I'm part Hungarian and feel attached to that part of my heritage more than others for some reason so I thought I'd find an English to Hungarian translator thingy and I think I found a really cool word!  This is the Hungarian word with a list of words that it is related to:

RAVASZAG

acuity
acuteness
artifice
craft
craftiness
cunning
cuteness
finesse
shrewdness
wile
wiliness

I'm thinking that is really really cool.

What do you think???

**Saturday morning**  OK, so, I asked my son what he thought.  He said it sounds masculine and compared it to the Klingon language.  Hm.

I have this killer idea and have actually made a few cool things attaching string to glass - like really thin surger string on things like glass vases and candle holders.  I used Mod Podge and it worked really really well but I want to make sure that's the best product available.  Plus, I used enough of it that I want to make sure I'm doing the most economical but also best quality work.  Here's a little sample of what I'm doing:



I used Glossy Finish Mod Podge and it makes it look sorta like the glass is actually fused onto the glass!  it's pretty awesome.


Any suggestions on using other things besides Mod Podge to attach things like string to glass?

I already have one shop but would like to try a second one because the two sets of things I would have are so totally different.  My current shop - Craftinator - is crafty and pretty much goes with my whim although I'm sorta focusing on the Puff Me Knots at the moment.  I have other things waiting in the wings like checkbook covers, CD holders and maybe some wall hangings made of copper tubing and wire.

But, I have an artsy side too (MPD? the verdict is not in LOL)

Hi!  Well, the craft sale wasn't as successful as I wanted it to be but there just weren't many people there.  Percentage wise, I didn't do too badly, tho.  And, I spent the day with my sister so can't complain.

My Puff-Me-Knots are a bit specific but I'm hoping these pics can give some of you some ideas.  I made this display for next to nuthin' so after each pic, I'll tell you how I got the results and maybe it'll help spur some ideas for your display!

Here's the whole table-


Here's the biggest display, that I'm hoping will be the frontrunner.

The plastic container was found at a 'dollar and more' type of store.  It was filled with 30 smaller containers with lids - and i got the whole thing for 30 bucks!  The circle behind the cheerleader is a wire frame used for wreaths that I got at the gardening/craft store for about 7 bucks.  (if you want to see how I secured the wire circle to the plastic container, let me know)  It was green but I spray painted it white with Rust-O-leum.  I got the doll at the second hand store for 2 bucks!!!  Then, I was able to find the cheerleader outfit for about 7 bucks.(if you want to see how she's attached to the wire frame, lemme know)

Here's the left side of the table:

I got the diaper bag at, once again, the second hand store for a few bucks!  The container is a plastic cola container that I once again, sprayed white.

Here's the right side of the table:

The doll head was such a happy surprise to find!  I lovelovelove the second hand stores!!  I got the doll head for 3 and the skates for 4.  The wire basket was one I had in my storage room already and I spray painted that white too!

I have another sale this weekend - crossing my fingers!!

I hope this isn't a negative thing to do but I sure could use some advice on this and I love my Craftster buddies so I'm posting a "Pretty Please", hoping I can get some input on this.  This craft sale could be the catalyst to jump start my new career!
