Has anybody made their own 'bookcloth' to cover their journal?
I found a tutorial online explaining how to make your own bookcloth by ironing a piece of fusible webbing onto the wrong side of your fabric cover, to which you then fuse tissue paper. I'm guessing the tissue paper is added to the cloth for strength but perhaps I'm wrong??
What I wanted to know is whether you could use fusible interfacing (such as Vilene or Pellon) rather than the tissue paper?
Any thoughts anybody? ETA: Have looked into this further and from what I can see, it looks like the tissue paper may be to absorb the glue so that it doesn't seep through to the cloth. There may well be another reason for it, but that's all I could find for now.
Now... just to decide what to do... hmm. Too many choices.
