1  COOKING / Dessert / Sesame Street First Birthday Cake on: September 15, 2008 01:41:18 PM
I made this cake for my daughter's first birthday on Labor Day weekend.  The cake is a three layer marble cake, with a chocolate cream cheese filling.  Yum!  I used marshmallow fondant, which is SO easy to work with!!







And her smash cake- regular canned frosting tinted yellow, and MMF street sign.



She LOVED it!!

My pal asked me to make a special doll for his one true love.  He showed me this cartoon called "Lenore the cute little dead girl" ( think that is what it's called, forgive me if I'm wrong).  His lady friend loved the little doll Ragamuffin from the cartoon, so I set out to make him.  I had only made the skull bear before, so even though inexperienced, I was determined to make this look great. I LOVE the finished product, and I hope you do too.

Ok, so after I found Craftster, I was inspired to do a stuffed animal.  So I asked my Co-worker Skye what I could make for him.  He said a teddy bear skull would be good.  So, I looked online and found a few patterns.  I took a little from this one, a little from that one, and came up with my own design.  There aren't joints because I didn't know how I'd do that, so the appendages are just sewn on.  I'm really proud of the result, and Skye loves it.
