The Hobo Inn sounds amazing, somewhere else to add to my list of visits! I have always fancied converting a train carriage into a tiny home, that or an old bus/coach!

It was awesome Smiley I was a bit worried because some of the online reviews were poor.. but mostly because people expected all the amenities of a large city hotel. It's a somewhat rustic setting and far enough from the big cities there is no cell service etc. But the rooms were so comfortable... plus we brought my 4 y/o son and 11 y/o niece and they just went crazy over staying in a caboose lol

I'm wondering...if a sightseeing spot has a story/fable connected to it that's interesting but sad, is it okay to include in the scrapbook?  I was going to go somewhere today but I wasn't sure if it was something that people would be interested in or want to see.

Input?

I think that would be great! I love when people include information about the different sights the LV saw. It adds depth to the scrapbook Smiley

We went to Mt Rainier and stayed at The Hobo Inn for New Years Eve. The inn is a bunch of old trains cars and cabooses made into hotel rooms Smiley

I love the photos of Baranof!

Sorry I haven't posted any. Our garage was burglarized sometime between when we went to bed Christmas Eve and when we woke Christmas day. So we've been dealing with the fall out from that.

I will post more photos soon Smiley

Awesome!   Grin  You made me lol with the ladybug and bumblebee shots, and your son is so cute!  Gordon is actually a stuffie I borrowed from my DD and she was asking last night what he was up to, so I'll show her the photos when she gets home from school.

Oh cool! Well if she has any requests for sights for Gordon to see while he's here just let me know.

Today was pretty low key. We checked the crab pots again so here is another shot of Gordon with a Dungeness Crab.

I'm working on a fun item for Baranof.  It's almost done, and it's so perfect for him!

Oh I can't wait to see it!
We've had an insanely busy week, I'm trying to get some photos posted right now Smiley

Well, we tried to sight see today but...

Everywhere we went the roads were closed.

So we went out the spit and took a photo of Gordon with the infamous Polar Pioneer drilling rig in the background. It made international news when kayakers blocked it from leaving Seattle this summer - http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jun/15/seattle-kayak-activists-detained-blocking-shell-arctic-oil-rig

It's here in Port Angeles unloading after a failed attempt at drilling in Alaska.

Then we got a quick photo of the Elwha river, which is near flooding from all these storms

Yeah, Alby arrived yesterday and got his first outing today. Smiley In autumn, the kids at nursery are going to a "forest walk" (just into small woods nearby) every Tuesday, and today we built some dens! Smiley

That is so cool! Awesome shelter and the kids look so happy Smiley
