HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!  Oh man do I love this.  Really fun--and funny!

Great job!

I was Ursula for Halloween this year as well (and entered it in this contest!).  Great minds....  Wink

I love that the tentacles were poseable too.  I left mine free flowing (except the front ones so I could walk), but stuffed them with recycled materials (tulles, blank newsprint, plastic bags) so they wouldn't be too heavy.  What kind of wire did you use?

Kudos!

THANK YOU!  I love Ursula...and being the villain!  Wink
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Something I loved from my childhood that could never destory us. Mr. Stay Pu on: November 01, 2009 01:14:59 PM
Ha!  This made me laugh so hard.  I love that movie and this character.

And remember...if someone asks if you're a god, you say, "Yes!".

Great work.   Grin

This is A-MAZ-ING!!!

It would look cool just hanging on a wall.  So pretty.

Awesome job!   Grin

These are SUPER cute!!!  I thought that these were pincushions before clicking on the picture, but I love that it is possible to actually wear them.

Well done!   Grin
7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / The Little Mermaid Family (includes Erik and Ursula) on: November 01, 2009 01:05:24 PM
My daughter is OBSESSED with the Disney Princesses.  Because her favorite is Ariel (and because I am never one to turn away from dressing the whole family thematically), we all dressed as different characters from The Little Mermaid.

Enjoy the pictures...and thanks for looking!

My daughter as "Ariel":

Handmade detachable purple crepe-backed satin seashell bra and green satin and "fancy fabric" tail.  Purchased leotard and wig.

My husband (in a weird twist of fate) as "Prince Erik":

Blue wool-blend pants, white cotton/poly shirt (over a white T-shirt due to cold weather!) and velveteen sash.  Borrowed boots.

Me as "Ursula the Sea Witch":

What?  I always look like this.  Wink
Black velvet with purple poly-ish lining on the tentacles.  Suction cups are fabric covered napkin rings.  Actual sea shells as necklace and earrings.  Purchased wig and lavender T-shirt.
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Ludo Messenger Bag on: October 05, 2008 06:06:55 PM
OH MY HELL!   Shocked

I am so excited by this.  I LOVE Labyrinth and love Ludo even more.  You have done SUCH a fantastic job.  The recipient is SO lucky.   Grin Grin Grin

Congrats on a job well done.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: My Medieval themed wedding VERY pic heavy...VERY on: January 06, 2008 12:07:16 PM
What a BEAUTIFUL wedding!!!  I love all of the amazing details and work you put into it!  I especially love the invitations, the petite fairies and the dragon cake!!!

You are a beautiful bride, too!

Congratulations on your marriage!
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Some new animal hats: Sheep and Unicorn! on: November 12, 2007 12:49:24 PM
Thanks everyone!  Smiley

I learned how to make a bonnet style hat and then made up the rest of the elements

The sheep ears are sort of like large leaf patterns.  I'll see if I can re-figure it out exactly and post it.
