1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Recipe Book Swap Gallery!!! on: March 04, 2007 01:33:34 AM
Hi all,

I'm sorry that it took so long for me to post these photos. I tried Photobucket a few times and had no luck, so I just uploaded everything to Flickr and invite you to click the link below to check out the awesome package I received from bunnyboo. If you look at the fourth photo, you should see the recipe that I am sharing (Crispy Oven Fried Fish).
All in all, I had a great experience and cannot wait to participate in another swap.

Not quite Milwaukee, but the Grafton Yarn Store is totally worth checking out.  http://www.graftonyarnstore.com/

Their selection is nice.  There's always yarn on sale.  And they have classes and knit at your own pace groups.  All in all, a very nice place.

4  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: RECIPE BOOK SWAP: Signups 12/30 - 01/13, Send 02/09 on: January 09, 2007 12:38:01 PM
would it be possible to include recipes for homemade liquers?  I have a killer homemade Baileys recipe that uses whiskey, coconut extract, and chocolate sauce (among other things) and a Grand Marnier recipe.

My only concern is about sending it to someone who either can't use it (i.e. too young) or won't use it (doesn't drink).

I. Am. So. Excited!!!!!
This will be my first swap.  I've got tons of ideas and cannot wait to start.

If we wanted to depart from the book format, would that be possible? I am more than willing to foot the shipping.

LOVE!

Seriously, though, I've never done animals or other stuffed entities.  I totally want to now.
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Star Wars Rebel Alliance double knit scarf on: January 03, 2007 07:43:13 AM
Very cool.  I have always wanted to try double-knitting something.  Your scarf turned out nicely.

That cozy is hardly unimpressive.  For someone new to knitting, it's very nicely and neatly done.  I like simplicity in my patterns because it gives me latitude to alter it to serve my purposes.
