15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Fountain Pen Roll on: March 09, 2011 05:00:56 PM
So I have a friend that's obsessed with fountain pens, and she likes to take a lot of them with her when she travels, but she's never had a decent way of carrying them. There are similar rolls online, but we sort of made this one up ourselves.  It will hold a LOT of pens (and I think she's already filled it! >.< ) and it has a flap that folds over the tops so they can't slid out or scratch each other up (some of the caps are pretty ornamental).  It's music themed because she's also obsessed with music (she plays trumpet professionaly).  The heart embroidery on the outside is by Urban Threads! Smiley

Let me know what you think! Smiley
16  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Yoga Matt Bag on: March 09, 2011 04:56:05 PM
I've had the fabric forever, since my mom found it and bought me a ton of it, lol. It's suits me perfectly, but I just didn't know what to use it for until now. A couple of my friends and I have recently started yoga and are really enjoying it, so we got some personalized yoga mats from Gaim, so naturally, I needed a bag to carry it in! I didn't use a patten, I just measured m yoga matt, added several inches to each measurement, and went from there.  I embroidered my name on it and added a strap and a drawstring. Smiley It's also lined. I could have made the strap just a tad longer, but overall, I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Cheesy

17  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Cheshire Cat on: March 09, 2011 04:47:42 PM
I made this little guy for the Alice in Craftster-land swap, and I loved him so much I decided to give him his own thread! This is the first Ami I've done that I've actually liked. lol. He turned out way better than I envisioned! I had painted his eyes and sewed his grin on by hand. It's just felt.  I made him in the Tim Burton colors becaues that's my favorite Chesh! (American McGee's runs a close second though!)

This craft-along is huge!!!  I have a hard time keeping up with all the amazing posts, lol! It's great! Smiley

So I've been busy, but I've not managed to get pictures taken until now, so this is something of a big post.

First up, I made some goodies for the Alice in Craftster-land swap. This was such a fun swap!! I mady a Cheshire Cat Ami (which I fell in love with and almost couldn't part with. He turned out WAY better than any Ami I've made before [see minion below!])  I also bleach stenciled a Cheshire Cat shirt, made a bandersnatch pendant modeled after one on my parner's wist, made a Japanese Alice kokeshi style trinket holder (her head comes off and she's hollow inside) and made doornob earrings. Smiley

Next up is a bunch of goodies I sent to a friend of mine. She loves music and writing and she needed a pen roll to carry her collection of fountain pens around, so I sewed and embroidered a pen roll for her. I also tried to make her a minion ami from this tutorial, but he didn't turn out very well, lol.

Next up are some waxed irish linen wrap bracelets that I made from a kit that Terry from makingbracelets.com sent me! I won a drawing on her blog and I've been obsessed with making these every since. She has an awesome tutorial here!

And last but not least, my favorites project so far, I made myself a yoga bag and embroidered my name on it. Smiley I didn't even have a pattern for this one. I've had this awesome fabric for ages since my mom got it for me and just hadn't foudn the right project for it until now.  Smiley

I recieved from QueenNinjaMonkey!  Smiley

First up, cute bloody Alice pillow!  The back has this awesome skully fabric that glows in the dark! Cheesy

Doornob wall hook. I don't know where you found this, but I love it!

It's hard to choose, but I think this is my favorite piece. Straight from my Wist, awesome Cheshire cat photo holder in the Tim Burton movie colors!!!

Amazing altered tin featuring Hatter Madigan!  Cheesy

And inside the tin, more goodies! Alice themed resin bottlecap magnets, a keyhole necklace, and the cutest little teacup ring ever!

Close up of the ring. It's just so adorable!

I love everything! Thank you so much!!  Cheesy

Yea! I'm so glad you liked everything, QueenNinjaMonkey! I had a lot of fun stalking your wist. Smiley  I had a hard time parting with the little Cheshire ami, he's the first one I've made that I was really tickled with out it turned out.

I've had so much fun looking through this gallery! There are some amazing things here!
