1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Christmas Tea Towel - Embroidered Mouse on Decorations on: December 30, 2008 01:33:08 AM
I made this tea-towel for my brother-in-laws parents who are currently visiting from Canada. I wanted to get them something small for Christmas so this is what I made.

I got the mouse picture from a free colouring book website (sorry I can't remember the site) and the baubles are drawn free-hand. I am really pleased with the way it turned out, although some people thought it was a cat not a mouse!

Comments and critisms welcome  Smiley
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Scrubs swap?? on: December 22, 2008 03:37:57 PM
I love the show 'Scrubs' and I was wondering whether anyone would like to participate in a swap based on the show and it's characters. I adore the show and I thought this would be a really fun swap.
3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Cute Embroidered Christmas Ornaments on: December 22, 2008 12:13:02 AM
Hi!
Here are some photos of some ornaments I made as a thank you present for a parent who helped out in my class (I'm a teacher) all year. I am very grateful for her dedication and help and I thought these would make a more thoughtful gift than a box of chocolates.

I think both of the patterns are ones from Annie Oakleaves. They turned out really cute! They are both personalised with her children's names. This was the first time I have ever attempted to make my own ornaments.
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Embroidered Bird Cage on Pillow on: November 19, 2008 03:48:08 AM
Here is a pillow I made as part of a recent swap I participated in. I embroidered an 'Urban Threads' design onto a pillow.

I like how it turned out  Smiley

This is a felt robin stuffed toy that I made for a recent swap. It is approx. 10.5' tall and is completely hand-sewn. I think it turned out rather cute  Roll Eyes

6  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Elsa the Pink Indian Elephant with a Beaded Saddle on: October 11, 2008 05:10:57 AM
Hi!
I thought I would share another toy I have made. Elsa is a pink elephant who has escaped from the circus. She is made out of pink felt and has a beaded saddle. Elsa's saddle contains swarovski crystal beads and sequins. Everything on her is hand-sewn.

Elsa is approximately 25cm/9.8inches long. I hope you like her  Smiley

Hi!
I would like to introduce Harry the Hedgehog. He is a creation I sold awhile ago. He has had several brothers and sisters made since then (I will post his sister Rosetta later). Harry is made out of felt and is entirely hand-sewn. He is extremely huggable  Cheesy

8  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Felt wolf stuffed toy on: October 08, 2008 05:25:20 PM
Hi,
Here is a wolf that I completed awhile ago. I love the way he turned out and I thought that Id share it =). He is all hand-sewn. He took a while to sew because of all the pieces that make him up. Hope you enjoy him =)

9  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / First embroidered tea towel - Cats in the Kitchen on: October 07, 2008 12:33:53 AM
Hi everyone,
Although I signed up for craftster ages ago - I only just came back online recently. For the past few months I have been experimenting with embroidery. Recently I had the courage to complete my first embroidered tea towel for some one. It will be a christmas gift for my sister. She loves cats and has a red kitchen so I tried to incorporate these into the towel. Also her husband is french-canadian so I had to add the 'bon appetit'.
