2  California / California: South / Re: Inland Empire Knitting Group??? on: July 25, 2009 10:31:43 PM
Hi there,
I am moving to Riverside from Denver at the end of August and am looking for a knitting/craft group.  Where and when does your sewing/craft group meet?  I'd love to come by once we get settled.

I did make up the pattern.  Most of the baby hat patterns that I have found will not fit a newborn.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / baby fruit hats on: January 11, 2009 06:02:58 PM
So I am going through a baby hat phase, and was inspired to knit an apple hat for my co-worker's infant daughter.  Upon seeing it finished, my husband said "what a cute strawberry!"  And my co-worker said "I love the tomato hat".  I decided not to name the hat after a particular fruit, but to call it the fruit hat.   This was my first attempt, any thoughts are appreciated.

That's fantastic!  How long is the chain strap?  Does it make it heavy?  I love it!

9  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: wine bottles into glasses? on: July 19, 2008 11:08:21 AM
I feel like a total moron!  After posting my question, I see that the post following mine is about the same topic.  Can you tell I do this all the time? What a dork!
10  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / wine bottles into glasses? on: July 19, 2008 10:59:17 AM
I'm not sure where I should post this, here or in reconstructed, so I think I will post in both.  Not too long ago I saw at a "green" store that someone had made corona bottles and wine bottles into drinking glasses.  Does anyone know how to do this?   I've never worked with glass, but it intrigues me.  I really want to do this.  I wait tables, so finding the bottles is not going to be a problem.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!
