Any suggestions for ironing the curved edges? I've tried one of these before but had a terrible time with turning in the curved edges =/

Clip the corners well - i always forget and then have to go back

i didn't know the burda site had one - i will have to go look.
i got the idea for the pattern from surfing the net for a pattern and not finding anything wide enough not to let the light in. i vaguely remember a grey plaid one that sparked the idea for my pattern.

I used "warm & natural" quilt batting between the two layers of fabric because its what i had on hand, just to darken the light transferance (is that a word?) a bit. So short answer - yup.
