It's very beautiful but I just have to know one thing...where did you put everything???  lol  I think it's in my craft room!  Maybe I'll start that job tomorrow.
2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: My first quilts on: April 11, 2009 04:49:32 PM
I will let you know how it goes when I start it.  I too have a lot of projects I have to get done before that one.  I'm working on finishing up 2 quilts a stack n wack and a Wizard of Oz (my name is Dorothy) that just need binding. I have quilting to do on 2 others (one for my son for April 26!!!).  Then, maybe I can start something new.

Very nice job.  I like the looks of those patterns.  I checked out the book from the library and have started narrowing down which one I'd like to start first.  It's good to hear that the instructions are simple.  So far, I haven't gotten past the pictures.  We had a gal at our quilt guild that did one of the patterns in the book but used totally different colors and WOW did it ever make a big difference!

Nice job!  I haven't tried applique yet but it looks like fun.  My quilt guild is having a challenge and I would like to do a parrot on the beach (My hubby loves Jimmy Buffett).

I'm so jealous!  I bought Karen's book and am waiting to have enough to do the star quilt.  I think I need to go through my stash and cut off all of my selvages!  I'm really itching to get started.  You've done a beautiful job on your projects.  Keep up the good work.

Love it!  My kids have been asking for snuggies.  We are having a homemade Christmas this year and I would love to make snuggies for them.  I don't live too far from Grandville if I can't find it at the Fields by me.  Did you use a pattern or just fake it?

Nice job!  My 7 year old is loving rainbows right now and wants a quilt for Christmas.  I'm in the process of searching for a pattern.  This is a great idea for some of my scraps.  I'm really liking the scrappy look lately.  Nice job on the quilting too.  It looks better than my first try!  It just takes practice, keep up the good work.

Linnybelle--Thanks for sharing quiltville.com with us.  I checked it out and I think it's a great way to use scraps.  I will have to start taking 15 min. here and there to get started cutting my scrap stash.  She had some fab quilts on that site!

I made a list tonight of all of my quilt projects that I have fabric set aside for.  I came up with 28 quilts so far...only 14 of them are started!  Three of those will be quilted this week.  I think I better get off the computer and get started!

Maybe you could make a wallhanging organiser thingy to keep tools, and stuff on, above your table?
melmakespretty--That's a brilliant idea!  Use stash to organize!  Sometimes, I wonder how I miss the obvious.

Okay, I completed something today.  I used scraps from my first quilt to make a duplicate only mini for my craft room.  The big quilt is in the background and a spool of thread for size.
