1  Re: Make-a-Friend Round 10: The Gallery in The Swap Gallery by EOcrafter on: September 06, 2013 08:21:36 AM
This is has been the best swap I've participated in yet, thanks to my awesome partner stellato!

This crocheted dream catcher is breathtakingly beautiful.  Its already happily hanging in my daughter's room and she's only tried to rip it down once Cheesy

i REALLY REALLY wish i wouldve taken a pic of it before i hung it, lol.  Every time i try to get another shot, she's napping...Here's another poor quality shot:

It is the most beautiful swap gift i have ever received.  Its perfect in my daughters room...i just LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

OH but there's more!!

a crayon roll and all kinds of bits of fabric, i really love the blue and white flower one

A rabbit and feather collage art peice, also for my daughters room.

lovely little crocheted flowers to add to some of my daughter's clothes

eye pillows filled with beans and crushed flowers.  these will get LOTS of use, i get migraines, they will be happily hanging out in my freezer Cheesy  and a neat magazine that her freind works at.  there's some great Montana micro-brew adds in there..

Also, she made me some decorated small ball jar candle holders, they are already outside and its crappy out...no pic availalbe

Seriously, this has been the best swap i've ever participated in!  Thank you thank you thank you thank you stellato!!  now onto package 3, i've got some great WIP already!

Fabric!  I love the black folk looking piece.  also, a really cool piece of collage art made by stellato, here it is on my craft inspiration board:

THANK YOU THANK YOU STELLATO!  great partnering, as usual Rebel Smiley

7  Twinkle's Town and Country Knits - Urban Legends Skirt in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by EOcrafter on: July 13, 2009 08:18:47 AM
Has anyone tried this pattern?  I really really want to make this skirt, but I am SO wary of knitting up Twinkle patterns, I can never get them to turn out like ANYTHIGN i would wear or the errata is so cumbersome, you can even get through the pattern..can someone convince me to dish out $$ for yarn and my precious time for this skirt? Smiley

9  Edit my Photos swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by EOcrafter on: May 13, 2009 08:55:15 AM

I was thinking about a hybrid disposable camera swap, participants would take pictures for their partner, send parter files of pics taken and partner would then artistically edit the pictures and send them back!  I have recently become addicted to photoshop and photoshop elements.  These programs ARE pricey but you can download 30 day free trials at adobe.com.  We could include one crafted item your partner would make to help display the edited pictures, like a frame or a scrapbook/photo album.  What does everyone think??

10  Re: Chunky Pages Swap Round 2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by EOcrafter on: May 04, 2009 12:12:33 PM
I have received 5 pages already!  i LOVE LOVE everything I've received!!!

This is an owl drawing on some cool, textured paper from Pocketwatch!
The drawing is beautiful in its simplicity!

Thank you!!!

these are the owl lovers!  each part of the owl is from a different piece of paper and the whole thing is mounted on a piece of neat fabric!  Its from sweetbettieleigh

Lovely Smiley

This one is from velvet rose.  I really love how transparent and mysterious is ended up looking.  there's also a scientific description of the owl families on the back...

wow...seriously a work of art!

so another suggested theme i came up with was german language or culture.  I have found myself quite fascinted by the way german makes one word describe a whole paragraph in english, like THIS word:

weltschmerz is world pain, world weariness, a mood of sentimental sadness...this page is beautiful AND sad, it perfectly describes the meaning of that word.  This is so beautiful middlebrook!

and finally:

Somemore owls!  This owl is sitting on a tree made from a german dictionary or book!  AND the whole thing is on a paint swatch called "four leaf clover"  What a cool idea!  love it!  The tree leaves are made 3D with the help of same tissue paper and glue Smiley

thanks little gree dragonfly!

THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!
