Never use 50% less fat butter to bake cookies with.

2  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Mrs. Darcy KAL on: April 12, 2007 09:55:53 PM
I know that there has been a lot of talk about starting a KAL for this BEAUTIFUL cardigan by indie-knitter (found here -> http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=160440.0 ) but as far as I know, no one has started a KAL for it yet.

Who's with me?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wonky self-designed sweater on: April 10, 2007 02:26:48 PM
So after making Simply Marilyn from Interweave, and having it be a tent on me even after making a swatch, I decided to just freeform a sweater.  No pattern.  Just knitting.  And here is my new comfy big ol craftolicious sweater:

Yes, I do look like a giant blob.

Marvel at my seaming skillz!

Feel free to point and laugh!  I did.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Why can't I see my eyelets? on: February 20, 2007 09:31:48 PM
I checked the FAQ and didn't see an answer for this.

I'm making a lace scarf, and doing all the YOs correctly, but I can't really see my eyelets.  Any veteran lace makers have some suggestions for making awesome YOs and eyelets?
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Sayings to embroider on pillows on: July 09, 2006 10:39:46 AM
Does anyone know of any cute/trendy/punk quotables to embroider on pillows?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitty's Loilita Legs--short row heel?? on: July 08, 2004 09:56:56 AM
Hey fellow knitters!

While working on Lolita Legs <http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEsummer04/PATTlolita.html>  I discovered that the pattern requires a short row heel.  The link on the page skips to Knitty's page on short row toes.  Ok, well, I know how to do short rows, but I don't know of a pattern I could use to achieve a short row heel, seeing as this is my first toe-up sock pattern.  Any suggestions for my predicament?
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Lionbrand Homespun--suggestions for patterns? on: June 07, 2004 07:07:37 PM
Hey fellow knitters!  This is my first post, and I have a question.  I bought some Lionbrand Homespun yarn to make the cuffs for the mittens in Stitch and Bitch, and now I don't know what to do with the rest!  It's thicker and fuzzier than yarn I'm used to working with, and I'm not crazy about the patterns on Lionbrand's website.  Any suggestions?
