1  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Star Baby Blanket~Along on: February 15, 2008 07:38:20 PM
Everyone did such an awesome job on their blankets!!

I made this blanket for my best friends' baby who's due to arrive in May. I normally stick to scarves and hats, so I am really proud that I stuck with this pattern.

I used a K hook, and cranked this baby out in less than a week. There's 31 rows, and I did the last row in the crab stitch (as suggested by someone in this thread), which makes for a nice border. The colors I used were: green (Red Heart Soft in Gaucamole), brown (Caron Simply Soft in Chocolate), and white (also Caron Simply Soft). The colors in the picture are off 'cause the lighting in the room was weird.

And a huge thank you to everyone who explained the first few rows of this pattern -- I almost gave up on this dang blanket! lol Once I understood the pattern, it was smooth sailing. Grin

Those are so adorable!!

I think a pair in brown and pink for a girl would be sweet.

The purse is SO cute - I love the colorful flowers against the black.

I actually haven't crocheted anything since Feb/March, but I totally want to make this!

Thanks for the tutorial!
