2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / ideas for a birthday care package? on: May 27, 2005 11:07:08 AM
My friend is away at school all summer and I wanted to make her a sort of care package and give it to her on her birthday.  I'm kind off stumped on what to put in it.  I know I want to make her a mix cd, but that's as far as my creativity has taken me.  Does any one have any ideas?  Keep in mind I'm kinda low on cash.   Undecided

Well I made it with the ribbon and everything and tied it, but I didn't trust that to hold up so I just put the whole thing in a slightly bigger envelope and closed it with packaging tape.

This would be neat too, if you ditched the ribbon and velcro and just wrote a letter, stuck some pictures inside, and mailed it to someone. Sure, it would cost a bit extra, but it would be an awesome thing to recieve in your mailbox!

I actually just did that.  My friend and I always send "creative" stuff back and forth so I decided to send her one of these.  I put different things in each pocket - - a letter in the first one, some drawings I did in the second, poems in the third, and newspaper clippings in the forth.  It makes for an interesting letter.
